Secondary Kamen Riders are the second most important Riders in their respective series. Secondary Kamen Riders are not necessarily the second Rider to appear on-screen (G3 and Knight were the first Rider shown in Agito and Ryuki while Gatack was actually the fifth in Kabuto, though he was a main character and temporary Rider before then) and are better defined either by their importance to the plot or their relationship to the Primary Rider. Although Secondary Kamen Riders have appeared in the Showa era (such as Nigo and Riderman), they are not treated as such due to being considered Primary Kamen Riders in their own right in later material.
