The Lead Showa-era Riders

Shōwa-era Riders are Kamen Riders from the Shōwa Period of Japan, which took place from 1926 to 1989.

All the series here had the involvement of the Series creator, Shotaro Ishinomori. Even after the Shōwa Period ended officially, fans referred to series or movies involving Ishinomori as a part of the Shōwa Period.

According to the Hesei/Showa War, the Showa Riders are less fazed by death, and find it easier to move on. This is seen in the more brutal nature of some of the older Riders, such as Shin and Amazon. They eventually accept their younger counterparts since in the end they both fight for justice.
