Joe Gibken (ジョー・ギブケン, Jō Gibuken^?) is Gokai Blue (ゴーカイブルー, Gōkai Burū^?) of the Gokaigers.

Super Hero Taisen

During the "Super Hero Taisen" incident, Captain Marvelous betrayed the Gokaigers and took over the Space Empire Zangyack as he assumed the title as their emperor and renames it "Dai-Zangyack", formed from the remnants of the dissolved Zangyack Empire and the conglomeration of all Super Sentai villains, in order to take down the Kamen Riders to obtain their Great Powers, and the Dai-Shocker group led by Tsukasa Kadoya, Kamen Rider Decade. Joe wonders why his team have to fight the Kamen Riders and with Don Dogoier joined with Hina Izumi and Daiki Kaito, Kamen Rider Diend, to find out. They eventually meet the crew of the time-travelling Den-Liner.

However, Dai-Zangyack turned on Captain Marvelous and joins forces with Dai-Shocker to destroy Super Sentai and the Kamen Riders. The Gokaigers and Decade later joined with the Go-Busters and Kamen Rider Fourze, along with the rest of the Super Sentai and Kamen Riders, to take on the combined forces of Dai-Zangyack and Dai-Shocker. In battle he duel-wields the Gokai Sabres. Often he positions himself in-between enemies so he can battle both at once. He likes to fight with one arm behind his back occasionally.

As a Gokaiger, Gokai Blue has access to the powers of any past ranger. While there's the obvious preference for all 35 blue rangers, he has also been seen using other color rangers' suits and powers. He's also been known to take on powers of past female blue rangers, with the suit becoming a male version of its previous design.

Portrayal

Joe Gibken is portrayed by Yuki Yamada (山田 裕貴, Yamada Yūki^?), who also provided voice-work for GekiRed in the film. As Gokai Blue, his suit actor in Super Hero Taisen was Masashi Takada (高田 将司, Takada Masashi^?).
