The Institute of Super Science (インスティテュート・オブ・スーパ・サイエンス, Insutityūto Obu Sūpa Saiensu), simply known as the ISS, is a biotechnology laboratory that develops Cyborg Soldiers in Shin Kamen Rider: Prologue. It is an affiliate of a larger organization known as the Foundation (財団, Zaidan).
Overview[]
The Institute of Super Science is a biotechnology laboratory affiliated with the Foundation that conducts research to treat intractable diseases such as cancer and AIDS at the genetic level. It is part of a larger organization known as the Foundation, which has a global influence such as politics, economy, ideology, culture, commerce and military industry. The Foundation has contracted themselves with headquarters to create the "ultimate soldier" and sell to various countries.
The plan was steadily pushed forward, but in the end the ISS was destroyed by the CIA's special forces and the intervention of Kamen Rider Shin, also known as Shin Kazamatsuri.
Cyborg Soldiers[]
The Cyborg Soldier is a general term for modified humans created by the Foundation for the purpose of selling them to countries as super-powerful military power. They are also considered a biological weapon. There are three levels of modification.
Cyborg Soldier Level 1[]
Level 1 strengthens the human body while removing components from the human body's genetic code that may cause incurable or almost incurable illnesses.
Cyborg Soldier Level 2[]
Level 2 sees the incorporation of numerous devices into the human body. Although it beats "Level 3" in terms of maximum output and defensive capability, it cannot return to its human form and can only assume a human shape with artificial skin. Furthermore, due to the fact that it is a mechanical renovation, it lacks the potential to grow, increase battle experience, and requires refurbishment to strengthen its skills.
Cyborg Soldier Level 3[]
Level 3 involves enhancing the human body at the cellular level by embedding various types of genetic information into the human body or changing the genetic information of the human body itself. A "Level 3" biological augmentation of the human body is known as a bio-cyborg. Its ability to self-evolve is also astonishing, and it is possible to overwhelm it by amassing experience.
