All O Medals & OOO Driver

Medals (メダル Medaru?), referred to, for clarity, as O Medals (オーメダル Ō Medaru?), are special coin-like medals that are the center of Kamen Rider OOO's different powers based on the animal the Medal represents. There are two different types of O Medals: Core (コア Koa?) and Cell (セル Seru?).

Core Medals

Core Medals (コアメダル Koa Medaru?) are colored O Medals that make up the essence of a Greeed. They can also be used to transform into Kamen Rider OOO or any Combos. These five types of Core Medals were originally fifty (five sets of ten) created by human alchemists 800 years ago as a means to create artificial life, drawing from characteristics of different animals, forming the core of the Greeed before one Medal in each set was destroyed. The tenth medal was typically destroyed or hidden in order to create a 'desire' in the nine other medals. A sixth set was also created, the Purple Cores, which are made from the antithesis of desire.

Each set of Core Medals comes in a specific color and animal type. Red Core Medals have bird powers; yellow Core Medals have big cat powers; green Core Medals have insect powers; silver Core Medals have heavy mammal powers; blue Core Medals have marine animal powers; purple Core Medals have dinosaur powers; and orange Core Medals have reptilian powers. There are 70 Core Medals total from the series, each three from a Greeed divided in three groupings for the use of OOO: Head, Arms (Torso), and Legs.

Ankh's Core Medals

Ankh's Core Medals are red. Being of avian nature, they have bird powers. OOO can use three of them to change into the Tajadol Combo, granting him the Kujaku Wings to fly and fire peacock tail feather energy projectiles at opponents. A total of ten existed in the modern world, with the tenth, the King's medal, in the secret possession of the Kougami Foundation. In Kamen Rider × Super Sentai: Super Hero Taisen, a set of these Medals are combined into the Tajadol Ranger KeyIcon-crosswiki, which is used by Captain Marvelous (Gokai Red) to transformIcon-crosswiki into OOO's Tajadol Combo.

  • Taka Medal (タカメダル Taka Medaru?): The Taka Medal is the Hawk-themed O Medal given to OOO by Ankh. As a Head Core Medal, it allows OOO to use the Taka Head, greatly improving his senses and improve his accuracy. It also enables him to see inside Greeed or Yummy, such as pinpointing the location of a specific Core Medal within a Greeed's body, which was shown when he used the Taka Medal to find the Shachi Medal in Kazari's body. In Tajadol Combo, the Taka Head becomes the Taka Head Brave (タカヘッド・ブレイブ Taka Heddo Bureibu?). It was the first Core Medal to be seen in the series. After Ankh's sacrifice, only one of these remained before it broke into two halves while the last intact copy was sucked into a black hole. Following the loss of all the other Core Medals to the black hole, this is the only Core Medal to still exist in some form in present day, the broken halves taken by Eiji on his travels. After Super Hero Taisen, Eiji now has all three Taka Medals, but he still needs to get Ankh's broken Core restored. When changing into Combos, the name would take the first kana for main Combos and the entire name for Random Combos.
  • Kujaku Medal (クジャクメダル Kujaku Medaru?): The Kujaku Medal is the Peacock-themed O Medal. Until episode 20, Kazari took it for himself until Ankh stole it from him after making a diversion. It allows Kamen Rider OOO to use the Kujaku Arms, equipping him with the Taja Spinner. Ankh finds another copy of this Medal during the events of Movie War Core. After Ankh's sacrifice, the remaining two copies are sucked into the black hole that was caused by the destruction of the Kyoryu Greeed. After Movie War Mega Max, Eiji has one of three of this Medal. When changing into Combos, the name would take the second kana.
  • Condor Medal (コンドルメダル Kondoru Medaru?): The Condor Medal is the Condor-themed O Medal. It allows Kamen Rider OOO to use the Condor Legs, allowing him to use talon-like attachments to enhance his kicking damage. Ankh found one during the events of Movie War Core. In the series, it was revealed that Kougami has one of three of this Medal, and intended to give to Eiji, but he declined so Ankh wouldn't leave Shingo's body to die but was later used during the fight with the Lion-Kurage Yummy. After Ankh's sacrifice, the remaining two copies are sucked into the black hole that was caused by the destruction of the Kyoryu Greeed. After Movie War Mega Max, Eiji has one of three of this Medal. When changing into Combos, the name would take the last two kana.

Uva's Core Medals

Uva's Core Medals are green. Being of insectile nature, they have insect powers. OOO can use three of them to change into the Gatakiriba Combo, granting him an ability called Branch Shade (ブレンチシェイド Burenchi Sheido?), where he can create duplicates of himself. A total of ten existed in the modern world, with the tenth, the King's medal, in the secret possession of the Kougami Foundation. In Kamen Rider × Super Sentai: Super Hero Taisen, a set of these Medals are combined into the Gatakiriba Ranger KeyIcon-crosswiki, which is used by Don Dogoier (Gokai Green) to transformIcon-crosswiki into OOO's Gatakiriba Combo.

  • Kuwagata Medal (クワガタメダル Kuwagata Medaru?): The Kuwagata Medal is the Stag Beetle-themed O Medal. As a Head Core Medal, it allows OOO to use the Kuwagata Head, allowing him to create lightning from the Kuwagata Horns. After Uva's demise, all three of them are sucked into the black hole that was caused by the destruction of the Kyoryu Greeed. After Movie War Mega Max, Eiji has one copy of this Medal. When changing into Combos, the name would take the last two kana.
  • Kamakiri Medal (カマキリメダル Kamakiri Medaru?): The Kamakiri Medal is the Praying Mantis-themed O Medal. As an Arms Core Medal, it arms OOO with the Kamakiri Sword gauntlets as weapons. First used in Kamen Rider W Forever: A to Z/The Gaia Memories of Fate. After Uva's demise, all three of them are sucked into the black hole that was caused by the destruction of the Kyoryu Greeed. After Movie War Mega Max, Eiji has one copy of this Medal. When changing into Combos, the name would take the last two kana.
  • Batta Medal (バッタメダル Batta Medaru?): The Batta Medal is the Grasshopper-themed O Medal given to Kamen Rider OOO by Ankh. As a Core Medal, it allows OOO to use the Batta Legs to jump and kick with great strength. When used in Scanning Charge or when energy is pushed into the legs, the legs become more grasshopper-like, allowing OOO to jump high in the air to perform a Rider Kick or to reach higher places. It was one of four initital Core Medals OOO could utilize, and once belonged to Uva. After Uva's demise, all three of them are sucked into the black hole that was caused by the destruction of the Kyoryu Greeed. After Super Hero Taisen, Eiji now has two copies of this Medal. When changing into Combos, the name would take the first kana.

Kazari's Core Medals

Kazari's Core Medals are yellow. Being of feline nature, they have big cat powers. OOO can use three of them to change into the Latorartar Combo, granting him an ability called Liodias (ライオディアス Raiodiasu?), where he can release intense heat. A total of ten existed in the modern world, with the tenth, the King's medal, in the secret possession of the Kougami Foundation. In Kamen Rider × Super Sentai: Super Hero Taisen, a set of these Medals are combined into the Latorartar Ranger KeyIcon-crosswiki, which is used by Luka Millfy (Gokai Yellow) to transformIcon-crosswiki into OOO's Latorartar Combo.

  • Lion Medal (ライオンメダル Raion Medaru?): The Lion Medal is the Lion-themed O Medal. As a Head Core Medal, it allows OOO to use the Lion Head, which allows him to release intense light. After the death of Kazari, only two of them remained before being sucked into the black hole that was caused by the destruction of the Kyoryu Greeed. After Movie War Mega Max, Eiji has one copy of this Medal. When changing into Combos, the name would take the first kana.
  • Tora Medal (トラメダル Tora Medaru?): The Tora Medal is the Tiger-themed O Medal given to OOO by Ankh. As an Arms Core Medal, it allows OOO to use his Tora Claw gauntlets as weapons. After the death of Kazari, all three of them were remained before being sucked into the black hole that was caused by the destruction of the Kyoryu Greeed. After Super Hero Taisen, Eiji now has two copies of this Medal. When changing into Combos, the name would take the first kana for the Tatoba Combo only and the entire name for the rest of the Combos.
  • Cheetah Medal (チーターメダル Chītā Medaru?): The Cheetah Medal is the Cheetah-themed O Medal. As a Core Medal it allows OOO to use the Cheetah Legs to move at blurring speeds and use rapid-fast kick attacks. After the death of Kazari, all three of them remained before sucked into the black hole that was caused by the destruction of the Kyoryu Greeed. After Movie War Mega Max, Eiji now has one of three of this Medal. When changing into Combos, the name would take the last kana plus the elongation kana, however the last kana of the Arms Medal would be given an elongation kana as well.

Gamel's Core Medals

Gamel's Core Medals are non-colored, ranging from white to dark grey. Being of the nature of mammals, they have heavy mammals' powers. OOO can use three of them to change into the Sagohzo Combo, granting him the abilty to manipulate gravity by beating on his chest. A total of nine existed in the modern world, with the tenth, having been destroyed in ages past. In Kamen Rider × Super Sentai: Super Hero Taisen, a set of these Medals are combined into the Sagohzo Ranger KeyIcon-crosswiki, which is used by Gai Ikari (Gokai Silver) to transformIcon-crosswiki into OOO's Sagohzo Combo.

  • Sai Medal (サイメダル Sai Medaru?): The Sai Medal is the Rhinoceros-themed O Medal. As a Head Core Medal, it allows OOO to use the Sai Head, allowing him to have a hard and strong head, perfect for headbutts. After the death of Gamel, only two of them remained before being sucked into the black hole that was caused by the destruction of the Kyoryu Greeed. After Movie War Mega Max, Eiji has one of three of this Medal. When changing into Combos, the name would take the first kana for Sagohzo Combo only and the first two kana for Random Combos.
  • Zou Medal (ゾウメダル Zō Medaru?): The Zou Medal is the Elephant-themed O Medal. As a Leg Core Medal, it allows OOO to use the Zou Legs to cause minor earthquakes with a mere step of his foot. After the death of Gamel, all three of them remained before sucked into the black hole that was caused by the destruction of the Kyoryu Greeed. After Movie War Mega Max, Eiji now has one of three of this Medal. When changing into Combos, the name would take the first kana.

Mezool's Core Medals

Mezool's Core Medals are blue. Being of the nature of sea creatures, they have the powers of sea life. OOO can use three of them to change into the Shauta Combo, granting him the ability to turn his body into a liquid-like state. A total of nine existed in the modern world, with the tenth, having been destroyed in ages past. In Kamen Rider × Super Sentai: Super Hero Taisen, a set of these Medals are combined into the Shauta Ranger KeyIcon-crosswiki, which is used by Joe Gibken (Gokai Blue) to transformIcon-crosswiki into OOO's Shauta Combo.

It allows OOO to use the Unagi Arms' weapons, the Unagi Whips, which shocks the target upon contact. Leaving the Unagi Whips in the Unagi Shoulders will charge the whips. After the death of Mezool, only two of them had remained before being sucked into the black hole that was caused by the destruction of the Kyoryu Greeed. After Movie War Mega Max, Eiji has one of three of this Medal. When changing into Combos, the name would take the first kana.

After Movie War Mega Max, Eiji now has one of three of this Medal. When changing into Combos, the name would take the first kana.

Giru's Core Medals

As revealed by Maki, there are a sixth set of Core Medals: the Purple Cores, which were formed from the antithesis of desire and had the potential to shatter Core Medals with ease. Five of these Medals entered Eiji's body when they sensed his lack of desire, having a profound effect on him by allowing him to sense a Yummy and appearing on the OOO Driver on their whim, but they also entered Dr. Maki due to his wish for the end of the world. Fully willing to succumb to the Greeed growing inside him, the five cores turned Maki into the Kyoryu Greeed. When Maki took two of his own medals and gave them to Eiji, he himself became a Greeed, unable to resist seven cores. After the death of the Kyoryu Greeed, seven of the purple medals were shattered when they entered the event horizon of the black hole that was caused when OOO defeated the Kyoryu Greeed while the remaining three were sent with the other Core Medals that were sucked up by the black hole's pull.

The Purple Cores have the power of extinct animals. They have the power to change OOO into the Putotyra Combo. Due to the Purple Cores being made to get rid of desire, they cannot be used outside of the Combo.

In Kamen Rider × Super Sentai: Super Hero Taisen, a set of these Medals are combined into the Putotyra Ranger KeyIcon-crosswiki, which is used by Ahim de Famille (Gokai Pink) to transformIcon-crosswiki into OOO's Putotyra Combo.

In the Director's Cut of Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Wizard & Fourze: Movie War Ultimatum, OOO was seen using this Combo. It also appears in the Kamen Rider Wizard finale.

  • Ptera Medal (プテラメダル Putera Medaru?): The Ptera Medal is the Pteranodon-themed O Medal. As a Head Core Medal, it allows OOO to use the External Fins (エクスターナルフィン Ekusutānaru Fin?) to fly, as well as create freezing winds that can encase the opponent in ice. When changing into Combos, the name would take the first kana.
  • Tricera Medal (トリケラメダル Torikera Medaru?): The Tricera Medal is the Triceratops-themed O Medal. As an Arms Core Medal, it allows OOO to use the Wind Stinger (ワインドスティンガー Uindo Sutingā?) horns that are mounted on the Tricera Shoulders, which can stretch into various lengths according to OOO's command. When changing into Combos, the name would take the first kana.
  • Tyranno Medal (ティラノメダル Tirano Medaru?): The Tyranno Medal is the Tyrannosaurus rex-themed O Medal. As a Leg Core Medal, it allows OOO to use the Tyranno Legs, which can use a tail called the Tail Divider (テイルディバイダー Teiru Dibaidā?) to give a devastating blow and act like thigh armor when not in use. He can also use the Legsteranail (レグステラネイル Regusuteraneiru?) claws on the feet to attack enemies with kicks. When changing into Combos, the name would take the first two kana.

Orange Core Medals

The Orange Core Medals were created alongside the rest of the medals but were passed gifted to the house of Tokugawa Yoshimune. When Eiji was thrown back in time, he met Yoshimune himself. Realizing that they are a source of power for Eiji, Yoshimune gives it to Eiji as a gift, allowing him to use reptilian powers. There are six of these- two complete sets, one from the past given to Eiji, and one with Gara locked with him in his castle up to present time. It is unknown if the two sets are the exact same or separate sets. Eiji kept the medals away after the battle with Gara, but keep and using them again only years later, in the battle with the Akumaizers. A full set can allow Eiji to transform into the Burakawani Combo, granting him the ability to quickly heal his injuries with a substance called Soma Venom (ソーマ・ヴェノム Sōma Venomu?), as well as use the Burahngi to execute the Cappello Brush (カぺロブラッシュ Kapero Burasshu?), where he summons a giant hooded cobra from the Cobra Head's "ponytail" to attack enemies.

  • Cobra Medal (コブラメダル Kobura Medaru?): The Cobra Medal is the Hooded Cobra-themed O Medal. As a Head Core Medal, it allows his eyesight to be doubled, as well as gaining infra-red perception that allows him to see even in absolute darkness. When changing into Combos, the name would take the last two kana.
  • Kame Medal (カメメダル Kame Medaru?): The Kame Medal is the Turtle-themed Core Medal that arms Kamen Rider OOO's arms with two carapace-like shields called the Gora Guardner (ゴーラガードナー Gōra Gādonā?), shaped like a turtle shell split in half, with each half resting on each arm. When he puts them together, he can create a powerful energy shield in the shape of a hexagon called the Gora Shielduo (ゴーラシールデュオ Gōra Shīruduo?). When changing into Combos, the name would take the first kana.
  • Wani Medal (ワニメダル Wani Medaru?): The Wani Medal is the Crocodile-themed O Medal. As a Leg Core Medal, it allows OOO to use the Wani Legs, allowing him to use the sharp saw-like attachments known as the Saw Deadscythers (ソウデッドサイザー Sō Deddosaizā?) to cut through enemies while his kicks project a crocodile head "biting" the opponent on contact. When changing into Combos, it would take the entire name.

Black Core Medals

In another timeline, Kougami used the Black Core Medals to resurrect one of the greediest men in Japan's history- Nobunaga. The medals caused him to turn into a Greeed-like monster the more he pursues his desires. Upon Nobunaga's death at the hands of Eiji, the Medals join with the Memory Memory and create the abomination Kamen Rider Core. Being of the nature of crustaceans/arachnids, they have powers resembling their nature. Sadly, they were never used by Kamen Rider OOO.

  • Sasori Medal (サソリメダル Sasori Medaru?), Kani Medal (カニメダル Kani Medaru?), Ebi Medal (エビメダル Ebi Medaru?): The black Sasori (scorpion), Kani (crab), and Ebi (shrimp) Medals appear during the events of Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider OOO & W Featuring Skull: Movie War Core as the items that transform Nobunaga into the Armored Warrior Inhumanoid, and are later used to power Kamen Rider Core. Kamen Rider Core was destroyed alongside the three black Core Medals and Memory Memory by Kamen Rider OOO Tajadol Combo and Kamen Rider Double CycloneJokerGoldXtreme. While the toy Core Medals are compatible with the DX OOO Driver, they do not have a special Combo announcement. The Sasori Medal is considered a leg medal and Ebi is considered an head medal. However, this is reversed in the movie.

Core Medals from the Future

  • Same Medal (サメメダル Same Medaru?), Kujira Medal (クジラメダル Kujira Medaru?), Ookamiuo Medal (オオカミウオメダル Ōkamiuo Medaru?): The light blue shark medal, dark blue whale medal, and dark red atlantic wolf-fish medal appear during Movie War Mega Max. They are used by Michal Minato, Kamen Rider Poseidon, and are eventually used by Foundation X. After Lem Kannagi as Super Gingaoh was defeated, the three Core Medals fell into the Earth.

Super Core Medals

Super Core Medals

Super Core Medals

Super Core Medals (スーパーコアメダル Sūpā Koa Medaru?) are enhanced Core Medals created from technology 40 years in future in Movie War Mega Max, enabling Kamen Rider OOO to evolve from his base Tatoba Combo into Super Tatoba Combo. They are similar in design to the Core Medals; but in addition to the gold edges, they also feature a gold design of the animal they represent. Only three of Super Medals have been revealed in the movie. Michal Minato obtained three Super Core Medals from the future and gave them to Eiji, as thanks for the lesson of what it means to be a Kamen Rider.

  • Super Taka Medal (スーパータカメダル Sūpā Taka Medaru?): The Super Taka Medal arms Kamen Rider OOO with the Super Taka Head (スーパータカヘッド Sūpā Taka Heddo?), which looks similar to the Taka Head Brave in the Tajadol Combo.
  • Super Tora Medal (スーパートラメダル Sūpā Tora Medaru?): The Super Tora Medal arms Kamen Rider OOO with the Super Tora Arms (スーパートラアーム Sūpā Tora Āmu?), equipping him with the the more longer and sharper Tora Claw Solid (トラクローソリッド Tora Kurō Soriddo?) gauntlets.
  • Super Batta Medal (スーパーバッタメダル Sūpā Batta Medaru?): The Super Batta Medal arms Kamen Rider OOO with the spiked Super Batta Legs (スーパーバッタレッグ Sūpā Batta Reggu?), allowing him to jump higher and kick with extra strength.

Other Core Medals

  • Imagin Medal (イマジンメダル Imajin Medaru?): The Imagin Medal is the Momotaros-themed Core Medal, appearing in Let's Go Kamen Riders, created from a piece of Momotaros' body, which arms OOO with the large Orenotsuno (オレノツノ lit. "My Horns"?) shoulders. The Imagin Medal only appears in Let's Go Kamen Riders, as the Imagin Medal, alongside the Shocker Medal, dissolve at the end of the film after the timeline was restored.
  • Shocker Medal (ショッカーメダル Shokkā Medaru?): The Shocker Medal is the Shocker-themed Core Medal, appearing in Let's Go Kamen Riders, created from a Cell Medal, which arms OOO with the Shocker Legs (ショッカーレッグ Shokkā Reggu?), which the appearance is similar to the Condor Legs. The Shocker Medal only appears in Let's Go Kamen Riders, as the Imagin Medal, alongside the Shocker Medal, dissolve at the end of the film after the timeline was restored. In S.I.C. Kamen Rider OOO, the Shocker Medal is used in the creation of Shocker OOO, a Kamen Rider/Greeed hybrid where the medal is used as the Washi Head's black lenses that are used for sight instead of legs.
  • Gel-Shocker Medal (ゲルショッカーメダル Geru Shokkā Medaru?): The Shocker Medal is the Gel-Shocker-themed Core Medal, giving Shocker OOO the Hebi Arms with the snake-like protrusions used to inject venom.
  • Destron Medal (デストロンメダル Desutoron Medaru?): The Destron Medal is the Destron-themed Core Medal, giving Shocker OOO the Sasori Legs, the right leg features a scorpion that can inject poison while the left leg has spikes for close range attacks.
  • Panda Medal (パンダメダル Panda Medaru?): The white Panda Medal was given out with the March 2011 issue of Televi Magazine. It is only used in the Kamen Rider Battle: Ganbaride game where it is a Core Medal that arms Kamen Rider OOO with the Panda Arms (パンダアーム Panda Āmu?) that utilize the Panda Claw (パンダクロー Panda Kurō?) gauntlets. Visually, it is a palette swap of the Tora Arms. In the games and in the Televi Magazine issue, it is illustrated in the use of the Takapanba (タカパンバ?) Random Combo. Scanning Charge finishers with any combo using the Panda Medal are called the Panda Giant Storm (パンダ・ジャイアントストーム Panda Jaianto Sutōmu?), where Kamen Rider OOO does a body slam on the target, then spins the target around before performing a backbreaker to fling the target into the air.
  • Kangaroo Medal (カンガルーメダル Kangarū Medaru?): The brown Kangaroo Medal was given out with the August 2011 issue of Televi-Kun magazine to go along with the Kamen Rider OOO Hyper Battle DVD. Unlike other Core Medals, the Kangaroo Medal can be used as either an Arm Medal where it arms Kamen Rider OOO with boxing gloves, called the Gangan Gloves (ガンガングローブ Gangan Gurōbu?), as in the Combo Takagaruba (タカガルバ?), or as a Leg Medal where it gives Kamen Rider OOO spring-loaded jumps and kicks while adorning him with what looks like sneakers, as in the Combo Takatoragaru (タカトラガル?). However, the Kangaroo Medal disappeared after the fight against the second Bison and Shachi-Panda Yummy. When used in the Ganbaride game, Takagaruba has a finishing attack called the Kangaroo Champion Puncher (カンガルー・チャンピオン・パンチャー Kangarū Chanpion Panchā?), which is similar to the finisher OOO used in the Hyper Battle DVD.
  • In Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Fourze & OOO: Movie War Mega Max, Kougami shows that he is in the process of developing new Core Medals after the other Core Medals were destroyed. These Medals, other than Kamen Rider Poseidon's Medals, include the Ushi (ウシ? "Bull"), the Shirokuma (シロクマ? "Polar Bear"), the Hachi (ハチ? "Bee"), the Mukade (ムカデ? "Centipede"), the Shika (シカ? "Deer"), the Gazelle (ガゼル Gazeru?), the Yadokari (ヤドカリ? "Hermit Crab"), the Penguin (ペンギン Pengin?), and the Seiuchi (セイウチ? "Walrus").

Cell Medals

52cellmedals

Cell Medals

Cell Medals (セルメダル Seru Medaru?) are silver O Medals and come from the Greeed, but also make up the bodies of the Yummy. These Medals are a manifestation of human desire that hold tremendous power. While the Greeed were sealed away, the Kougami Foundation studied and gathered the Cell Medals, incorporating them in their Ride Vendor, Medajalibur, and Candroid technology. Whereas Core Medals can be used and reused without effect done on the Medals, Cell Medals only have a limited amount of energy and vanished when the energy has been depleted.

Unlike Kamen Rider OOO who uses Core Medals, Birth uses these Cell Medals to transform or access weapons. These Medals can be used to transform into Birth or used in a Cell Burst. No specific Cell Medal is required for Kamen Rider Birth to transform, summon a Birth CLAWs armament, or initiate a Cell Burst attack. Unlike OOO's Core Medals, Cell Medals can only be used once. After said use, their energy is depleted, and they fade away. Also unlike OOO's cores, which can only be destroyed, Cell Medals can be broken, as demonstrated by Uva and Poseidon's shattering Cell Medals to make Waste Yummies.

Legend Rider Medals

X Medal (Xメダル Ekkusu Medaru?), Amazon Medal (アマゾンメダル Amazon Medaru?), Stronger Medal (ストロンガーメダル Sutorongā Medaru?): Core Medals representing three of the seven sealed Kamen Riders which appear during the events of Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Fourze & OOO: Movie War Mega Max that, along with the 1, 2, V3, and Riderman Astroswitches, are in Foundation X's possession. Kamen Rider OOO is able to release the Riders by putting them into the OOO Driver and scanning them which activates a Scanning Charge. These Medals are based on the Legend Rider Medals (レジェンドライダーメダル Rejendo Raidā Medaru?) which used to be compatible with the Kamen Rider Battle: Ganbaride arcade game.

Further History

In the series finale, only 53 Core Medals that remained after Eiji and Maki permanently killed several of the Greeed. However, all Core Medals except for one Core were thought destroyed when Eiji was able to defeat the Kyoryu Greeed, the Greeed absorbing all but one of the Core Medals, along with the Medal Vessel. The influx of power caused a black hole-like collapse of the Purple Core Medals' power, seven of the Purple Cores seen shattering as they approached the event horizon, disappearing forever. That one Core Medal that was left is the split-in-two Taka Medal which formerly contained Ankh's consciousness, Eiji now carrying it with him on his journey while find a way to fix the medal and revive him. However, in the Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Fourze & OOO: Movie War Mega Max, it was eventually revealed that the black hole was not a gateway to destruction, but a time portal, which had sent all of the Core Medals, as well as the Cell Medals, the Medal Vessel had gathered, inculding what could possibly be the remains of the Kyoryu Greeed's consciousness, 40 years into the future. There, they merged into the body of Michal Minato. The overwhelming amount of Cell Medals and Core Medals allowed the newly created medals of Kamen Rider Poseidon to form into a Greeed with a will all of its own.

There were also the King's Core Medals (王が持っていたコアメダル Ō ga Tsukatteita Koa Medaru?), which were originally part of the Core Medal sets that composed Ankh, Kazari, and Uva. Being the only tenth Core Medals separated from the rest of their respective sets instead of being destroyed, the King used them to become Kamen Rider OOO eight centuries ago. They were originally in Kougami's possession until he gives them to Eiji to become the true Kamen Rider OOO. These special Cores were first mentioned in a Foundation X report during the antepenultimate episode of Kamen Rider W, referred to as the King Medal (at the time, it was believed there was only one King Core) which are said to have more power than even the True Gaia Memory. However, prior to the final battle, the King's Core Medals shattered due to the power of the purple Core Medals and the massive amount of Cell Medals in Eiji's body.

After Mega Max, Eiji now has one copy of each Core Medal of the five desire-based Medals. However, Super Hero Taisen had shown that Eiji has regained the Purple Cores, with only seven of the Core Medals being explicitly been shown destroyed in the finale and never seen/used in Mega Max. Also, Eiji was seen to have two more copies of the Taka, Tora and Batta Medals to allow Gokai Red, Yellow, and Green to assume his Tajadol, Latorartar, and Gatakiriba Full Combo forms. In Ultimatum, Eiji uses the orange Core Medals, bringing his total count of Medals to 28.

The O Medals, along with the other Rider Powers, were stolen from OOO by Amadum in the world within the Magic Stone, who explained that they were already his due to the Riders' powers being from the same source as evil. However, the power was soon returned thanks to the appearance of Kamen Rider Gaim, with the return of the Medals immediately transforming OOO into Super Tatoba Combo. Neverending Story

Toy-exclusive Medals

In Kamen Rider Battle: Ganbaride, toy versions of the O Medals, both Core and Cell, can be used with the OOO style Ganbaride arcade machines to either change combos or initiate attacks. Some are also exclusive to the game such as the Legend Rider Medals that allow Kamen Rider OOO to transform into the Kamen Riders based on those Medals and perform their finisher attacks. Many of these Medals sport different colors, with sporting the main Rider's emblem to show which series they hail from.
