Room 401 (４０１号室, Yonhyakuichigōshitsu^?) is the forty-second episode of Kamen Rider Ryuki.

SynopsisEdit

• Mitsuru accepts both Side's Offers to Ally with them but ultimately chooses Hideyuki & Tojo.
• Shiro tells Asakura where Tojo & Hideyuki are and tells him to kill them. Asakura later finds out that they aren't there.
• Tojo kills Hideyuki and shatters the Alternative Deck.

Tojo attacks Shinji from behind. Mitsuru doesn't help Shinji as he didn't technically hire him but cheers for him anyway. Before Tojo can continue, Hideyuki stops Tojo. Tojo, Hideyuki & Mitsuru all leave Mirror World and Mitsuru continues to tempt the two to allow him to join. Tojo calls him out for cheering for Shinji but he denies it.

The next day, Mitsuru is once again working in the business carpark. Goro takes Kitaoka home from the hospital after collapsing. Kitaoka tells Goro that he's gotten weaker as a Rider and it rather not because of his illness but that he isn't as strong as he once thought.

Mitsuru returns to the Cafe. Shinji quickly pulls hum away from Yui and tells him that Tojo & Hideyuki are trying to kill Yui. Mitsuru says that he should fight for justice... Shinji tells him if that is true, then he should do it for free. Shinji asks Mitsuru why he became a rider in the first place. Mitsuru tells him that he is very unlucky and that one day, Shiro appeared and told him to become a rider. Shinji eventually decides to accept him as an ally, but instead of money, offers him free food at the cafe.

Mitsuru returns to the lab and asks them about their pursuit of Yui. Hideyuki hires him as an ally. Meanwhile, Asakura is hiding, but is interrupted by Shiro who tells him to eliminate Hideyuki & Tojo. Asakura accepts.

The next morning, Reiko comes to Kitaoka's to find out what happened the other day when Destwilder attacked her. Reiko mentions the large pane of glass nearby and Kitaoka tells her to stop all this type of Journalism. After she has left, Kitaoka reveals to Goro that he is trying to keep Reiko away from the mess of the riders so that she doesn't get hurt.

Back at the Cafe, Shinji tells Ren that he has made an Ally in Mitsuru. Ren loses his temper and goes to the lab. Asakura makes it to the lab first and finds the area bare and all the mirrors knocked over. It is revealed that Tojo & Hideyuki have moved from the Room. Back at the lab, Asakura loses his temper before being confronted by Kitaoka. Asakura asks why Kitaoka hasn't called the police yet. Kitaoka tells him that monsters don't belong in prison.

They are then interrupted by Ren & Shinji.

Meanwhile, Hideyuki & Tojo are having lunch with Hideyuki's Family. Tojo seems un-enthused and when Hideyuki's son gives him a painting, Hideyuki tells Tojo to learn from today. Tojo momentarily loses control and knocks a spoon loudly.

Back at the lab, Asakura tries to talks the other 3 into fighting but they refuse. Kitaoka tries to group Shinji with Tojo & Hideyuki as they all wish to seal Mirror World but Shinji denies that he is their ally. Ren agrees with Kitaoka. After being mocked by the antics of Kitaoka, Ren & Asakura on whether he is an idiot or not, they all leave. Mitsuru meets up with Shinji and they discuss amongst other things, Shinji's Stupidity. Mitsuru quickly disappears without Shinji realising for a few seconds. Shinji senses monsters, runs around the bridge and sees Yui being dragged into Mirror World by one of Imperer's Monsters. He transforms and follows.

Imperer goes to kill Yui but Shinji intervenes just in time. Shinji asks why he has sided with the other to which Mitsuru replies that their deal was better. Tojo & Hideyuki join in as well. Hideyuki & Mitsuru both summon their respective Contract Monsters to capture Yui. Shinji attempts to help her but is occupied with the 3 Riders. Yui is driven into a corner but suddenly the monsters stop pursuing her and freeze. Yui walks out of the corner pointing at them which appears to have some kind of mind-controlling effect on them. She makes them attack their contractors.

Hideyuki attempts to kill Yui but is suddenly attacked by Tojo. Tojo tells Hideyuki that he doesn't feel like sealing Mirror World anymore and that perhaps the Winner of the Rider War is the true Hero. He uses a Final Vent to destroy the Alternative-Zero Deck and kill Hideyuki. Tojo claims that Hideyuki had to be used as a sacrifice. He carries him in his arms as he slowly fades away.

Shinji tries to snap Yui out of her trance but it doesn't work.
