"Go forth, comrades! Protect the humans!"
―Drive Driver ordering the Shift Cars to rescue humanity during the first Global Freeze[src]

The Shift Cars (シフトカー, Shifuto Kā), powered by Core Driviars, are miniature cars created for the purpose of helping humanity. They are used by Kamen Rider Drive in conjunction with his belt, the Drive Driver, and bracelet, the Shift Brace, which work together via infrared, when he changes them from their Machine Modes (マシンモード, Mashin Mōdo) to their Lever Modes (レバーモード, Rebā Mōdo) by rotating them.

Some Shift Cars enhance Drive's current Type form with a Tire Exchange (タイヤ交換, Taiya Kōkan), adding the last part of a Shift Car's name to his current Type (i.e, Type Speed Flare). Some of them also come with a weapon called a Tire Specific Item for Drive to wield.

Shift Cars can also be used by Kamen Rider Mach and Kamen Rider Chaser by inserting them into the Mach Driver Honoh. Unlike the Shift Brace, it doesn't require them to change the selected Shift Car into its Lever Mode to be inserted.

They are able to attack Roidmudes by traveling on special tracks that they spawn, and are strong enough to incapacitate un-evolved Roidmudes. As long as someone has a Shift Car on their person, they are able to ignore the time distortions a Roidmude emits when active, unless multiple time distortion effects occur. In this case, one must have multiple Shift Cars on their person. Episode 22 shows that they can also destroy Roidmude constructs, such as the fake murder victims, so much that they were addressed as "guardian spirits".

Their most unique attribute though is their capacity for sentience and sapience. Though they cannot speak, Shift Cars can feel emotions such as mischievousness, frustration, happiness and even more complicated feelings such as regret and loss, and can show these emotions through their beeping or through car signs they spawn alongside their tracks. Only Shinnosuke, Mr. Belt, and Kiriko are shown to be able to understand them so far. Other Special Investigation Unit members are also aware of their existence but dismiss them as Shinnosuke's toy cars, until they found out about his secret.

They can be summoned by calling out their names, and other times they simply come of their own volition. Throughout the series they are off investigating their own cases, but return to Drive when they are done gathering data to assist him in battling Roidmudes.

In episode 21, Medic captures all of the Tire Exchange Shift Cars (except the Type Formula-styled ones) and brainwashes them into being Chase's assistants as they overpower Drive. All of them sport Medic's emblem and are able to travel around without the need of generating tracks in midair. Mashin Chaser tried to use them in a suicide attack against Drive Type Dead Heat, but Drive managed to assume Type Formula and rescue them along with Kiriko from the blaze. As of episode 22, the previously enslaved Shift Cars have been purified by Rinna.

After the Kamen Riders are met by Gold Drive, who possesses the ability to steal their weaponry, Rinna develops a special data coating which she applies to the transformation Shift Cars and Signal Bikes as well as the Trailer-Hou in order to protect them from Banno's power of theft. [When Will the Second Global Freeze Start?]

Followed by Gold Drive and Sigma Circular's destruction, the Shift Cars were among of Drive's arsenals alongside Ride Chaser, Ride Macher and Tridoron to be locked beneath the Drive Pit by Krim. [Who Will You Entrust the Future to, My Friend?]

Design[]

A standard Shift Car consists of the following parts:

  1. Revolve Structure (リボルブストラクチャー, Riborubu Sutorakuchā): The hinge and braces in the middle of the Shift Car, it is what allows the cars to switch between Machine and Lever modes. It also deploys a small defensive shield around the Shift Car to increase durability during battle.
  2. Reflect Metal Body (リフレクトメタルボディ, Rifurekuto Metaru Bodi): The outer chassis of the Shift Car, it is composed of multiple special alloys, and the proportion of each metal alloy is specially adjusted for each Shift Car so as to maximize the Shift Car's usage and powers. It also deflects a degree of damage from the car.
  3. Core Driviar-S (コア・ドライビア-S, Koa Doraibia - S): A miniature gravity drive engine built into the rear of the Shift Car, it generates power for the Drive System and generates waves via vibrations created in the Core Driviar-S that counter Heavy Acceleration waves produced by the Roidmudes.
    KRDr-Shift Car (Back)

The underneath of a Shift Car. Shift Connect Key (4) and Ability Crest (5)

  4. Shift Connect Key (シフトコネクトキー, Shifuto Konekuto Kī): A connecting device at the bottom of the Shift Car, it is what allows it to stick to the Shift Brace. It conveys information to the Shift Brace about the characteristics of the car. In the DX toyline, it is what allows the DX Shift Brace to recognize which Shift Car is which via certain pin combinations.
  5. Ability Crest (アビリティクレスト, Abiriti Kuresuto): An icon located on the underside of the Shift Car's rear end(front end on Shift cars like Mad Doctor), it displays a graphic that represents the abilities of the Shift Car. All Shift Cars whose Ability Crests hold the Drive logo are transformation shift cars. All other Shift Cars are for Tire Exchanges.

The Shift Tridoron consists of the following parts:

  1. Core Driviar-T (コア・ドライビア-T, Koa Doraibia-Tī): The Core Driviar which powers for the Drive System and generates vibration waves strong enough to counter even Super Heavy Acceleration fields.
  2. Shift Connect Key (シフトコネクトキー, Shifuto Konekuto Kī): The specialized panel beneath the Shift Car, which slots to the Shift Brace. It conveys information to the Shift Brace about the characteristics of the car.
  3. Transformation Button (変身ボタン, Henshin Botan): Located on the left side of the Shift Car. The Transformation Button is the red button identified by a stylized "D" and is used to initiate a Rider transformation.
  4. Combo Button (コンボボタン, Konbo Botan): Located on the right side of the Shift Cars. The Combo Button is identified by a three-tire icon and is used to initiate Tire Blending.

List of Shift Cars[]

Type Change Cars change Kamen Rider Drive's body, granting him different capabilities and stats, as well as providing him with better compatibility for certain Tire Exchange modes. Many of them require the user to be in a certain state of mind in order for them to be utilized. They all have the ability to be used as Mr. Belt's "eyes" on the field, allowing him to discreetly observe whatever the Type Change Cars are observing, and communicate with Shinnosuke when he isn't around. He can also communicate through more than one of them at the same time.

Other than Drive, there are also a few unique Type Change Cars used by other Riders.

  • Shift Speed (シフトスピード, Shifuto Supīdo, Based on a sports car): Allows Drive to transform into Type Speed, granting him acceleration capabilities that enable him to move and attack at high velocities. Because Type Speed is Drive's main form, it doesn't need any special requirements or emotional frames of mind for Shinnosuke to access. In the toyline, there is also a golden version of the Shift Speed Car, but it works like a normal Shift Speed Car.
  • Shift Wild (シフトワイルド, Shifuto Wairudo, Based on a dune buggy): Allows Drive to transform into Type Wild, granting him enhanced strength and defensive capabilities. It can also transform Tridoron into its own Type Wild mode. Shinnosuke must be pumped up and motivated to fight in order to use Type Wild. In the toyline, there is also a golden version of the Shift Wild Car, but it works like a normal Shift Wild Car.
  • Shift Technic (シフトテクニック, Shifuto Tekunikku, Based on a garbage truck): Allows Drive to transform into Type Technic, granting him analyzing capabilities that enable him to either react with lightning speed to changes in the battlefield or control machines as well as multitask by using a pair of extra eyes in the back of his head. It can also transform Tridoron into its own Type Technic mode. Shinnosuke must have a cool, calm, and clear mind in order to use Type Technic. When the Tire Exchange Shift Cars went against Shinnosuke and the others, Shift Technic had to stay with Kiriko in order to allow her to move normally in a Slowdown.
  • Shift Deadheat (シフトデッドヒート, Shifuto Deddo Hīto, Based on a motorcycle and sidecar): A Shift Car/Signal Bike hybrid that allows Drive to transform into Type Dead Heat, enabling him to access the Dead Zone state. Shift Deadheat first appeared only as a sidecar part since Rinna still tried to complete it, but got sidetracked by personal problems. Later, it was completed by Harley Hendrickson. Usage of Shift Deadheat carries the risk of turning the Drive System into an out of control rampant and attack anyone around him. The only way to stop this is to strike Drive with either a finishing move or an attack strong enough to deactivate Shift Deadheat's influence on him so that he can cancel the transformation. Usage of Shift Deadheat can also enable its user to resist the effects of a Super Heavy Acceleration field, but with the drawback of its user's enhanced capabilities being restricted as well as taking a much heavier toll on their body. However, it still allows a normal human to escape. Unlike the other Type Change Shift Cars, Mr. Belt cannot communicate through Shift Deadheat. Like Shift Speed, it also doesn't require anything specific for Shinnosuke to access.
  • Shift Formula (シフトフォーミュラ, Shifuto Fōmyura, Based on a Formula One car): Allows Drive to transform into Type Formula, enabling him to move faster than Type Speed and manipulate wind as well as equipping him with the Trailer-Hou. This Shift Car was created by Krim himself a long time ago where, like Shift Deadheat, usage of it can enable Drive to resist a Super Heavy Acceleration field. However, Krim was forced to hide its existence as Shift Formula's usage is more dangerous than Shift Deadheat due to the presence of G-Forces on the Drive System. Shinnosuke must believe in all of his allies in order to use Type Formula. [What Can Keep Mach Running?]
  • Shift Tridoron (シフトトライドロン, Shifuto Toraidoron, Based on the Tridoron): Originally created for use in the Trailer-Hou as an emergency finishing move to fire Tridoron as a bullet fueled by the energy of all of the other Shift Cars, Shift Tridoron was modified shortly after its completion to serve as a jump-starter for the comatose Shinnosuke and Mr. Belt. In the process, it gained the unexpected ability to allow Drive to transform into Type Tridoron, something no one, not even Mr. Belt could envision. Shift Tridoron's special ability is enabling Drive to use the Tire Blending, which allows him to combine three Tire Exchange Shift Cars with a similar theme into a new Shift Tire that simultaneously utilizes each of their individual powers(e.g.Max Flare, Midnight Shadow, and Funky Spike due to all three being hotrod-themed). When the button marked "DRIVE" is pressed, it activates Shift Tridoron and announces "Fire All Engines" (ファイヤーオールエンジン, Faiyā Ōru Enjin). Shinnosuke must believe in his devotion to protect others in order to use Type Tridoron. The DX toy version was accidentally released into the public eye following its inclusion into a Toei Company video.
  • Shift High Speed (シフトハイスピード, Shifuto Hai Supīdo, Based on a luxurious sports car): Allows Drive to transform into Type High Speed. Shinnosuke must be a gentleman in order to use Type High Speed. Along with the Shift Mega Max Flare Car, it was later revealed that this Shift Car was just a redecoration of the original Shift Speed Car and nothing more. Only appears in Type HIGH SPEED! The True Power! Type High Speed is Born!.
  • Shift Next Special (シフトネクストスペシャル, Shifuto Nekusuto Supesharu, Based on a futuristic car): Allows Drive to transform into Type Special using the yellow Special side of the Shift Car. Also allows Kamen Rider Dark Drive to transform into Type Next using the dark blue Next side of the Shift Car. Only appears in Kamen Rider Drive: Surprise Future.

  • Shift Speed Prototype (シフトスピードプロトタイプ, Shifuto Supīdo Purototaipu, Based on a concept sports car): A prototype version of Shift Speed used by Chase during his time as Kamen Rider Protodrive to transform into the prototype version of Type Speed. After becoming Kamen Rider Chaser, Chase can use it in the Mach Driver Honoh to move at very high speeds. In Super Movie Wars Genesis Shinnosuke travels back in time to 2005 with this Shift Car and uses it with the past version of the Drive Driver to transform into Kamen Rider Zero Drive. This Shift Car came into the possession of Heart after he defeated Protodrive and Chase was subsequently modified to serve the Roidmudes as Mashin Chaser. When used by Heart, it becomes a tracker that allows him to search for Chase. It was later returned to Chase in Episode 26. The Shift Car was damaged in Protodrive's battle with Heart, so Chase asked Kiriko if she could fix it, revealing that it contained his memories as Protodrive. Once it was fixed, Chase used it in the Break Gunner to regain his past memories. Though originally assumed to be without a mind of its own, it was revealed to be sentient like the other Shift Cars in Episode 35. Like all of the other Shift Cars, it was eventually locked in the Drive Pit.

  • Shift Next Special (シフトネクストスペシャル, Shifuto Nekusuto Supesharu, Based on a futuristic car): Allows Kamen Rider Dark Drive to transform into Type Next using the dark blue Next side of the Shift Car. Also allows Drive to transform into Type Special using the yellow Special side of the Shift Car. Only appears in Kamen Rider Drive: Surprise Future.

  • Shift Ride Crosser (シフトライドクロッサー, Shifuto Raido Kurossā, Based on the Ride Crosser): Allows Kamen Rider Mach to transform into Mach Chaser. Only appears in Drive Saga: Kamen Rider Mach. It is not known how this Shift Car was created, as it was already present in Rinna Sawagami's lab while she, Kyu Saijo and Go Shijima were working on reviving Chase, though it is possible that Rinna herself created it. This Shift Car appears to contain data on Chase, as shown when Koichi Kano held the Shift Car, which briefly turned him into Chase's appearance. It should be noted that this Shift Car is sentient, which Rinna and Go seemed to be unaware of.

  • Shift Heartron (シフトハートロン, Shifuto Hātoron): Allows Kamen Rider Heart to transform into Type Miracle, and initially into Type Speed Wild Technic. Only appears in Drive Saga: Kamen Rider Heart. Originally appearing as a silver-colored Shift Car resembling Shift Tridoron, it turned into its Shift Heartron form when Heart was accidentally revived, along with the cores of Brain and Medic inside the Shift Car. Besides being used for transformation, it also allows Brain and Medic to briefly utilize Heart's body. This Shift Car reverted back to its silver-colored form after the cores of Heart, Brain and Medic faded away.

Tire Exchange Cars enhance Drive's current Type form with a Tire Exchange, changing the Shift Tire on his body and granting him with various unique abilities as well as various Tire Specific Items.

When Kamen Rider Mach inserts them into the Mach Driver Honoh, it initiates a Tire Exchange by altering the Kourin Signal on his right shoulder.

These Shift Cars are based on regular cars with four wheels.

  • Shift Max Flare (シフトマックスフレア, Shifuto Makkusu Furea, Based on a flaming hotrod): Allows Drive to gain the Max Flare Tire, granting him fire-enhanced abilities. By itself, it can attack by igniting the tracks it spawns with intense rings of fire, which can also boost the attacks of the other Shift Cars(as demonstrated by Shift Midnight Shadow). If used in Mashin Chaser's Break Gunner, it allows him to shoot fireballs. The same effect applies to Kamen Rider Mach's Zenrin Shooter if he uses it in his Mach Driver Honoh to activate the Kourin Signal Moerl.
  • Shift Funky Spike (シフトファンキースパイク, Shifuto Fankī Supaiku, Based on a spiky hotrod): Allows Drive to gain the Funky Spike Tire, enabling him to either shoot spikes or impale enemies on the Shift Tire. By itself, it can attack by slamming itself into enemies while extending its spikes. If used in Mashin Chaser's Break Gunner, it turns the Revenger Pikes on his Break Gunner into sharp spikes for either punching or shooting when needed.
  • Shift Midnight Shadow (シフトミッドナイトシャドー, Shifuto Middonaito Shadō, Based on a ninja hotrod): Allows Drive to gain the Midnight Shadow Tire, granting him enhanced stealth capabilities that enable him to duplicate himself and the ability to throw energy shurikens. By itself, it can attack by shooting energy shurikens and creating copies of itself.
  • Shift Justice Hunter (シフトジャスティスハンター, Shifuto Jasutisu Hantā, Based on a police car): Allows Drive to gain the Justice Hunter Tire, equipping him with the Justice Cage to either protect himself or trap enemies. By itself, it can generate low barriers resembling Justice Cages to trip over its prey. As befitting a policeman(and by extent, the main user of this Shift Car), it has a very orderly personality and comes into conflict with the reckless Massive Monster, but in the end cares for it very much.
  • Shift Dream Vegas (シフトドリームベガス, Shifuto Dorīmu Begasu, Based on a limousine): Allows Drive to gain the Dream Vegas Tire, equipping him with the Drum Shields to either protect himself or merge with the Shift Tire for the finisher. By itself, it can attack by shooting playing cards. It’s best friends and partners with Dimension Cab, and performed badly during its first use by Drive due to its hatred of Roidmude 010, but bonding with Shinnosuke allowed Vegas to regain its normal level of performance, which helped him in destroying 010 for good.
  • Shift Dimension Cab (シフトディメンションキャブ, Shifuto Dimenshon Kyabu, Based on a taxicab): Allows Drive to gain the Dimension Cab Tire, enabling him to generate a portal from it that separates a portion of his body to use to either teleport himself or attach himself to objects, possibly even going through them. By itself, it can attack by utilizing its portal-generation powers to maximum effect(in its first appearance, it redirected the shots from the Break Gunner by doing a loop-de-loop to create a portal).Partners and best friends with Dream Vegas, it was incapacitated during Global Freeze by Roidmude 010, but was repaired six months later with compound S-01 and it returned in episode 4 to help Drive escape from Mashin Chaser.

These Shift Cars are based on power vehicles with four big wheels.

  • Shift Massive Monster (シフトマッシブモンスター, Shifuto Mashibu Monsutā, Based on a monster truck): Allows Drive to gain the Massive Monster Tire, equipping him with the Monster and enabling him to grab enemies using the Shift Tire's extendable tongue. It can also be used in Type Speed. By itself, it can attack by biting enemies. Befitting its monster truck motif, it has an unruly attitude and often antagonizes Justice Hunter, but cares for it very much in the end.
  • Shift Rumble Dump (シフトランブルダンプ, Shifuto Ranburu Danpu, Based on a dump truck): Allows Drive to gain the Rumble Dump Tire, equipping him with the Rumble Smasher. The same effect applies to Kamen Rider Mach if he uses it in his Mach Driver Honoh to activate the Kourin Signal Arabull. This Shift Car was initially used in Type Speed; however, it did not not synch well with said form, thus triggering the development for Type Wild in order for Drive to gain better control of the Rumble Dump Tire.
  • Shift Mad Doctor (シフトマッドドクター, Shifuto Maddo Dokutā, Based on an ambulance): Allows Drive to gain the Mad Doctor Tire, equipping him with the Cure Quicker to heal either himself or other civilians. If used in Mashin Chaser's Break Gunner, it allows him (or in this case, Kiriko) to heal anyone the Destruction Nozzle touches via a painful yet healing defibrillation-like pulse of energy. However, it was revealed that fighting against poisons that created by Over Evolved Roidmudes like Brain can be proven futile.
  • Shift Hooking Wrecker (シフトフッキングレッカー, Shifuto Fukkingu Rekkā, Based on a tow truck): Allows Drive to gain the Hooking Wrecker Tire, equipping him with the Capture Hook to grab objects from afar. By itself, it can move things around by using its little hook.
  • Shift Burning Solar (シフトバーニングソーラー, Shifuto Bānningu Sōrā, Based on a solar car): Allows Drive to gain the Burning Solar Tire. By itself, it can attack by reflecting light to blind targets, but to do so, it needs to be recharged by resting under the sun. If used in Mashin Chaser's Break Gunner, it allows him to fire solar energy-backed bullets.
  • Shift Colorful Commercial (シフトカラフルコマーシャル, Shifuto Karafuru Komāsharu, Based on a mobile billboard): Allows Drive to gain the Colorful Commercial Tire. By itself, it can use holographic projections to mislead enemies and project videos with sound. With the combined teamwork of Spin Mixer, it can use its holographic projections in a method similar to 3D printing to create a very convincing fake plate picture.

These Shift Cars are based on utility vehicles with six wheels.

  • Shift Spin Mixer (シフトスピンミキサー, Shifuto Supin Mikisā, Based on a concrete mixer): Allows Drive to gain the Spin Mixer Tire, enabling him to shoot projectiles of quick-drying cement to restrain enemies. The same effect applies to Kamen Rider Mach if he uses it in his Mach Driver Honoh to activate the Kourin Signal Mazerl. By itself, it can produce cement, and can mold the cement in anyway it can, as seen when Mixer teamed up with Colorful Commercial to make a very convincing fake plate picture out of cement.
  • Shift Fire Braver (シフトファイヤーブレイバー, Shifuto Faiyā Bureibā, Based on a fire engine): Allows Drive to gain the Fire Braver Tire, equipping him with the Ladder Expander to use as a third arm. By itself, it sprays fire-dousing foam that can be used to extinguish all flames.
  • Shift Rolling Gravity (シフトローリングラビティ, Shifuto Rōrin Gurabiti, Based on a road roller): Allows Drive to gain the Rolling Gravity Tire, equipping him with the 10-ton Weight to produce a gravitational well. By itself, it can create a small gravitational field that holds an enemy in place.
  • Shift Deco Traveller (シフトデコトラベラー, Shifuto Deko Toraberā, Based on a dekotora): Allows Drive to gain the Deco Traveller Tire. By itself, it can either use chains to wrap around something or use the many lights installed in the Shift Car to illuminate dark places as well as play enka music. When used in Mashin Chaser's Break Gunner, his background changes into a kabuki-style performance stage and disorients him.
  • Shift Road Winter (シフトロードウィンター, Shifuto Rōdo Uintā, Based on an ice resurfacer): Allows Drive to gain the Road Winter Tire, equipping him with the Frostreamer to emit a freezing wind. By itself, it can generate snow and ice to put out small fires.
  • Shift Amazing Circus (シフトアメージングサーカス, Shifuto Amējingu Sākasu, Based on a clown car): Allows Drive to gain the Amazing Circus Tire. Originally, Circus was stationed in America and met up with Go at an unknown point in time. By itself, it can spew out various props from its "mouth" that forms into anything it wants it to, like a stage complete with pyrotechnics and fireworks.

These Shift Cars are based on pit crew equipment, even bearing the nickname Pit Crew (ピットクルー, Pitto Kurū). They have the ability to "fix" Type Formula whenever said Type is in a mechanical shock. Rinna made these Shift Cars from some leftover designs Harley Hendrickson gave her.

  • Shift Mantarn F01 (シフトマンターンF01, Shifuto Mantān Efu Zero Wan, lit. "Shift Full Tank F01"; Based on a gas refueling tank): Allows Drive to gain the twin Mantarn F01 Tires, granting him a nitro boost-like effect. By itself, it can create a flame tornado to shield Drive from incoming attacks, similar to the ability of Shift Max Flare.
  • Shift Jacky F02 (シフトジャッキーF02, Shifuto Jakkī Efu Zero Tsū, Based on a floor jack): Allows Drive to gain the Jacky F02 Tire, equipping him with the Jacky Riser. By itself, F02 can create a large energy jack to lift something off the ground.

These Shift Cars are redecorated versions of Type Speed's own Tire Exchange Shift Cars.

  • Shift Mega Max Flare (シフトメガマックスフレア, Shifuto Mega Makkusu Furea, Based on a flaming hotrod): A redecoration of the original Max Flare Shift Car that allows Drive to gain the Mega Max Flare Tire, granting the same abilities as the Max Flare Tire and nothing more, though its fire power does seem to be more powerful than regular Max Flare. Only appears in Type HIGH SPEED! The True Power! Type High Speed is Born!.

These Shift Cars are futuristic versions of the original Type Change and Tire Exchange Shift Cars, given a primarily black color scheme with light blue/cyan tech detail. When used with a vehicle which matches their theme, Roidmudes classed as "---" are spawned, controlling these vehicles while serving their master. They were all destroyed when the Roidmudes they spawned were destroyed.

The toy versions of these Shift Cars all give an error sound when used in the DX Drive Driver. This implies they cannot be used for actual Tire Exchanges.

These Shift Cars are all exclusive to Kamen Rider Drive: Surprise Future.

  • Shift Next Builder (シフトネクストビルダー, Shifuto Nekusuto Birudā, Based on a futuristic garbage truck): A recolored version of Shift Technic, it is used to possess a vehicle named Astaco, spawning a Cobra Type Roidmude controlling it. The Roidmude driver, along with his possessed vehicle, is destroyed by Kamen Rider Chaser.
  • Shift Next Deco Traveller (シフトネクスデコトラベラー, Shifuto Nekusuto Deko Toraberā, Based on a futuristic dekotora): A recolored version of Shift Deco Traveller, it is used to possess a green dekotora truck, spawning a pair of Roidmudes controlling it. One Bat Type Roidmude driver is destroyed by Kamen Rider Super Dead Heat Drive, while the other Cobra Type Roidmude is destroyed along with the truck by Kamen Rider Ghost Newton Damashii respectively.
  • Shift Next Hunter (シフトネクストハンター, Shifuto Nekusuto Hantā, Based on a futuristic police car): A recolored version of Shift Justice Hunter, it is used to possess a police car, spawning a Spider Type Roidmude controlling it. The Roidmude, along with his possessed car, is destroyed by Kamen Rider Mach.

    Notes[]

    • Both Kiriko and Shinnosuke often call the Shift Cars by the last word in their full names. (e.g. Funky Spike's nickname is Spike)
    • So far, four Tire Exchange Shift Cars (Burning Solar, Colorful Commercial, Deco Traveller, and Amazing Circus) don't have their own respective Shift Tires and modes for Drive. Their debuts at this time are currently unknown.
      • Deco Traveller was intentionally used by Drive in Mashin Chaser's Break Gunner to disorient him, possibly meaning a Tire Exchange with Traveller would have the same effect on himself.
    • Deco Traveller is marked with a four kanji string on both its sides and on the roof of its trailer section: respectively, "Lightning Speed" (電光石火, Denkō Sekka) and "Angry Gauze Authoritative Warrior" (怒羅威武, Doraibu), the latter of which having the same pronunciation as the Japanese pronunciation for Drive.
    • It is currently unknown if changing Type Dead Heat's Shift Tire can remove the after effects of said Type (as in going into a berserk-like state) or not. However, as shown in episode 20, Drive can still use a Tire Exchange Shift Car to change the Deadheat Tire (in this case, Type Dead Heat Flare).
    • Shift Deadheat and Shift Tridoron are the only Shift Cars that don't have a Lever Mode, though the latter's Machine Mode can be used as a lever.
      • Shift Tridoron is also the first Shift Car to have built-in voices, followed by Shift Heartron and Shift Ride Crosser.
