Shigeru Araki (荒木 茂 Araki Shigeru) played Shigeru Jo/Kamen Rider Stronger, the titular rider of Kamen Rider Stronger. He later reprised his role in New Kamen Rider, the only series to feature him as Stronger outside of his own series.

Shigeru died on April 14, 2012 of pneumonia, giving him the grim distinction of being the first actor who played a Kamen Rider who was the star of their show to pass away. [1]
