History

Background

Baby Takeru and mom

Takeru after being born.

Takeru Tenkuji was born on October 4, 1997 as the son of Ryu Tenkuji and Yuri Tenkuji, who died after giving birth to him. He was raised in the Daitenku Temple where his father was a ghost hunter. During his childhood, Takeru befriended Akari Tsukimura, Makoto Fukami, and Kanon Fukami. When Takeru was eight, he witnessed his father's murder and promised Ryu to become a ghost hunter after Ryu passed Takeru the hand guard of Miyamoto Musashi. Since then, was also placed under the care of Onari, one of the Daitenku Temple's monks.

As his eighteenth birthday was approaching, Takeru became dedicated to become a ghost hunter like his father, but discouraged that he still can't see them. After being given an Eyecon from his late father delivered since ten years, Takeru became the target to the Katana and Yari Gamma, leading to his own death. He was then revived as a ghost by Sennin, who grants him the Ghost Driver. Takeru is able to become Kamen Rider Ghost and is tasked to collect fifteen Heroes' Eyecons within the next 99 days if he seeks to revive himself.

To further assist his adventures, Onari and Akari form the Mysterious Phenomenon Institute to solve paranormal cases that may be related to the Gamma. He was also entrusted with Yurusen, a small phantasm that would teach him how to use his powers. Takeru would learn to create Eyecons by attempting to connect with the aforementioned historic figure, allowing Kamen Rider Ghost to access various Damashii in his battle against the Gamma. Takeru would often assist with a despaired person in need to teach them the value of life.

While collecting the Eyecons, Takeru would come across the mysterious Kamen Rider Specter, who collects the Heroes' Eyecons for an unknown purpose, even going far as to steal Takeru's own Eyecons. He would later discover that Specter is actually his long lost friend Makoto Fukami, who seeks to revive his sister Kanon. Seeing how desperate Makoto is to pursue his goal, even going so far to side with the Gamma, Takeru gathered the fifteen Eyecons to wish for Kanon's resurrection. Despite coming at the cost of his own desires, it renewed the bond between Takeru and Makoto.

A Boost of Strength

Although his days grew shorter thanks to his wish on Kanon, Takeru decided to spend his last days with his friends. After a battle against Jabel, he ascended to the skies and bid farewell to his friends. Arriving at the afterlife, Takeru reunites with his father Ryu, who lends his son his strength by giving him access to Toucon Boost. Takeru is given a new mission to connect with the Eyecons. As a result, Takeru is given an additional 99 days to complete his mission.

The Eyecon Connection

Takeru and his friends embark on a mission to connect with the Eyecons, while gathering the ones that are still lost. As the Eyecons began possessing civilians, Takeru has to gain their approval in order to use their powers. Meanwhile, the Gamma forces were increasing in strength as they began kidnapping human souls. Furthermore, Gamma Superiors had made their way to Earth and the Gamma Prince Alain transformed into Kamen Rider Necrom. Alain sought to return Makoto back to the Gamma, with Takeru dedicated to prevent.

Despite these obstacles, Takeru continues his mission to communicate with the Eyecons. During this time, he would also befriends the Gazai Gamma after sensing its peaceful nature. After saving Specter from Necrom's influence, Takeru learns that Makoto's body is located in the Gamma World. With Takeru's strong determination, he enters the realm and is horrified at the landscape. While trying to locate Makoto's body, Takeru is horrified to discover many humans bodies are placed in capsules, believing the Gamma had abducted them.

Legendary! Riders' Souls!

Ghost and Specter make a surprising encounter with a non-Gamma monster, the Heart Roidmude, led by the mysterious Frey. Quickly overwhelmed by the new enemy, both Riders are robbed of the Ghost Eyecons beyond their personal ones by Frey and are left in a pinch until the arrival of Freya, who tells the Riders to gather the Rider Eyecons. Ghost goes first, and unlocks the Drive Eyecon to defeat Heart.[Drive Chapter] Soon after, Specter accesses the Double Eyecon to defeat the Terror Dopant.[W Chapter] As Ghost gains the Gaim Eyecon in his fight against Lord Baron, the two start to get the feeling that the monsters' purpose was for them to collect the Rider Eyecons and,[Gaim Chapter] after Specter acquires the Fourze Eyecon against Sagittarius Nova, the Riders confront Freya who they find to be working with Frey.[Fourze Chapter]

Ghost and Specter are then met by Kamen Rider Wiseman and the Kyouryu Greeed as Frey tells them it will be revealed after they defeat them. After Specter's unlocking of the OOO Eyecon to defeat the Kyouryu Greeed leaves only one more to go, the scenario is interrupted by Xibalba, with the two Riders realizing that they were meant to destroy this monster as it absorbs Frey and Freya, enhancing its Gamma Ultima body.[OOO Chapter] As a greatly overwhelmed Specter barely holds off Xibalba, Ghost manages to unlock the Wizard Eyecon, defeating Wiseman. With all six Rider Eyecons in their hands, the two Riders use them as per intention, going through the Rider Damashii they have accessed to fight Xibalba, managing to free Frey and Freya as they wear him down to his original form before destroying him with a combined Omega Drive using the power of the Rider spirits. Ultimately, Takeru and Makoto get no answer as to who exactly Freya and Frey are, but have learnt through collecting the Rider Eyecons that they can overcome many challenges and that if any villain plans to make their world despair, they can fight to the very end to protect people as long as they have their friends and hold on to hope, that kind of heart being what makes a Kamen Rider. The twins' work done, Frey returns the Riders' Ghost Eyecons to them before merging with Freya who, telling the Riders that the real enemy is just waking up, combines the six Rider Eyecons they collected along with the ten Heisei Rider Eyecons she carries to create a single Kamen Rider 45 Ghost Eyecon before returning to her world.[Wizard Chapter]

GhostGrateful

Takeru after transforming into Ghost Grateful Damashii.

After returning to his world, Takeru was left traumatized by his experience in the Gamma World after seeing people in capsules disintergrating. Takeru furiously interrogates Alain, who at the time is banished from his family by Adel. While he learns that the humans in the capsules were the Gamma, this did not explain why some had disintergrated. Because of his distraught, his Eyecons leave him temporarily. Takeru later regains the fifteen Heroes' trust and accesses his new form, Grateful Damashii once he faced his inner troubles.

Following his visit in the Gamma World, Takeru gained the ability to view a person's memory by touching them. After completing an investigation into the Gamma's plot to turn middle-aged adults into children with the help of Tutankhanum to restore the victim's actual age, Takeru hears the voice of an unknown woman. It was revealed that the voice was his mother Yuri, who passed away when Takeru was born.

Infinite Possibilities

After Makoto's body was destroyed, Takeru became intent in retrieving Makoto's body back from the Gamma World. For unknown reasons, Takeru couldn't perform the ritual with the fifteen Heroes' Eyecon. He would join forces with Alain in the meantime to eventually rescue their friend. Takeru would encounter Adel, the elder brother of Alain who usurped the role as Gamma emperor. The Kamen Riders would eventually come face to face with the Gammaizers, artificial deities of the Gamma World assisting Adel in his mysterious Demia Project.

Last Chapter: 1 & Heisei

Later on, the Riders are led by the Rider Eyecon to the advent of the last enemy, a Gamma Ultima known as the Dark Mind who brings with him revived Nova Shocker generals Urga and Buffal. With Specter backing him up, Ghost makes use of the Kamen Rider 45 Ghost Eyecon, first accessing Ichigou Damashii to destroy Urga and Buffal before transforming into the combined Heisei Damashii to defeat the Dark Mind even after he enhances his form with the Alexander Gamma Eyecon. Their Rider quest finally over, the two Riders delight in their victory.[Last Chapter: 1 & Heisei]

Miracle! Infinite Thought!

Takeru after transforming into Ghost Mugen Damashii.

During a battle with the Gammaizers, the Ore Eyecon would shatter which caused Takeru's third death. While his death saddened his comrades and loved ones, they resolved to not give up. Together, they performed a miracle that allowed Takeru to come back to life. This granted him the Mugen Eyecon, allowing Takeru to access his final form, Mugen Damashii, using the form of light to connect everything infinitely. However, despite coming back the third time, he is still in a ghost state.

Takeru would continues to fight Adel's forces while understanding the mystery of the Gammaizers. He would eventually meet the Gamma commander, Edith, who would be later revealed to be Sennin who initally intended the Kamen Riders and Eyecons as countermeasures against the Gammaizers, but did not expect Adel's interventions as he sought to connect with the Great Eye's power.

War for the Great Eye

With a few days remaining on Takeru's lifeline, Adel embarks to use Demia to transform Earth like the Gamma World. Takeru leads the Kamen Riders to destroy the Demia servers as they continue battling the resurfaced Gammaizers. He believes he could stop Adel's rampage by connecting with him by appealing to his tragic past. However in doing so, Takeru finds out that Adel was the one who killed his father ten years ago and becomes unable to hold back his rage.

Takeru later arrives at Gamma World with the Kamen Riders and his companions. He would confront Adel one last time, still angered that he killed his father and had hurt Alain. Despite this, Takeru chose to respect Alain's wish to save his elder brother rather than revenge. Takeru shared an affectionate hug to make him realize that his family does love him. Although the Gammaizers took over Adel at the last minute, Takeru was the one to strike him down honorably to let his spirit pass away in peace.

However, the Gammaizers forcibly fuses with the Great Eye to become the Great Eyezer. Despite being on the last day of his lifeline, Takeru continues to fight as Gammaizers and became confident in stopping the behemoth at the cost of the Mugen Eyecon. In the final battle, Kamen Rider Ghost leads the fifteen Heroes to vanquish the Gammaizers for good. With the fifteen Eyecons, Takeru chose to wish back the victims extinguished by the Gamma. As a debt from the Great Eye for freeing them from the Gammaizers, Takeru is restored as a normal human and reunites with his friends.

Ghost & Ex-Aid

Ghost meets Kamen Rider Ex-Aid.

With the Gammaizers gone for good and Takeru fully revived, Takeru could continue his unfinished education in high school. He later meets a boy named Ayumu, who is being pursued by a mysterious black Kamen Rider. Takeru would later meet Kamen Rider Ex-Aid as they shared the same belief of valuing life. In the end, Takeru decided to take a break from his ghost hunting work to study in school again and catch up with his lessons.

Personality

Takeru is a timid young man who at first was a bit nervous and scared when he became a superhero. His ability to make himself physically solid as a ghost was also hard to control as it depended on his emotional state and his emotions were in conflict due to his worrying and depression of his deceased state. Upon hearing that he only had 99 days to live, he felt he couldn't achieve his goal of obtaining the other Eyecons. He was a bit self-defeating at first due to a lack of confidence, but that would all change when he meets Shinnosuke Tomari.

However, upon encountering Specter for a second time, he began to doubt himself as Specter told him that his soft heart will never allow him to defeat his opponents. By the time Takeru obtained the Beethoven Eyecon, his confidence was restored and became ready to battle Specter, telling him that unless he's actually beaten down, he won't quit until he wins.

Takeru also seems to get angered by anyone who does not value their own lives or the lives of others, as being dead has given him the perspective to cherish/protect all life and enjoy the time he has left while trying to restore himself. This trait seems to override his common sense at times, as he is willing to put his own existence in jeopardy to save someone's life such as Kanon Fukami.

As a child, he used to be disrespectful to his father for having him involved in ghost hunting the Gammas in the first place, until his death. Later during a timeline interference where his present-self and Shinnosuke are stranded in the past, by the time the young Akari was kidnapped by Da Vinci, the young Takeru was encouraged by his future-self to put an end to the Gammas' evil invasion on Earth for his father's sake, himself and humanity. This later was changed drastically when Da Vinci attempted kill Takeru by killing his younger-self who was recklessly unaware of Da Vinci's trap, leading to the unchanged fate of his father's death, in which it was Da Vinci who murdered him. However, this was all but a re-imagination of the fate, as his father's murderer was actually Adel, which ignites Takeru's unending rage.

Before transforming, Takeru tends to announce I believe in myself! (俺は信じる, Ore wa shinjiru).

Powers and Abilities

Powers

Takeru retains some of his abilities following his revival as a human.

  • Mind Reading: When Takeru comes into physical contact with someone, he is sometimes able to read the thoughts and memories of that person. However, this power kicks in arbitrarily.[Second Coming! Ordeal of the Escape King!][Forever! Cries of the Heart!]
  • Danger Sense: Takeru is able to sense if a grave danger, usually involving a Gammaizer, is occurring nearby.
  • Clairvoyance Mediumship: Takeru is able see spirits or Gamma nearby him.
  • Force-Field Generation: Whenever Takeru wishes to be alone, he can generate a forcefield around himself to prevent others from disturbing him.[Shock! Mystery Kamen Rider!]
  • Pac-Man Virus Resistance: Although Takeru is no longer a ghostly spirit, he retains ghost powers that give him an advantage over the Pac-Man Virus, due to that particular strain of game disease being derived from a video game where the enemy NPCs that can kill the titular player character on contact are ghosts. When swarmed by the virus, Takeru did not display the fever symptoms that its other infected patients suffered, though he did temporarily lose access to his powers and ability to transform.

Former Powers

As a ghost, Takeru possessed the following powers and abilities. As noted by Freya much later after the defeat of the Great Eyezer, Takeru had eventually evolved into an immortal being infused with countless of souls, though it is presumed he lost these abilities after his revival in a proper human body.

  • Limbo: Having been resurrected by Sennin through the Ghost Eyecon after his death at the hands of the Gamma, Takeru is granted a limited half-life, with the limit being 99 days. This limit will be lifted should Takeru assemble all 15 hero Eyecons, which would also complete his resurrection. However, should he fail in his objective, Takeru will die permanently. As a ghost, Takeru possesses a number of traits which distinguish him from living humans in addition to his use of the Eyecons to transform into Kamen Rider Ghost.[Eyes Open! It's Me!]
  • Invisibility/Intangibility: Like the Gamma, the deceased Takeru is naturally both invisible and intangible to living people. He has the ability to make himself visible and solid at will, allowing him to interact with humans. However, as noted by Yurusen, this ability depends on his emotional state, with Takeru initially fluctuating between being visible and invisible before he soon masters the ability. Like any ghost in popular fiction, Takeru can use his intangibility to phase through solid objects such as walls or the ground and reemerge elsewhere.[Eyes Open! It's Me!] However, it is possible for the Gamma to create barriers that can negate this ability.[Second Coming! Ordeal of the Escape King!]
  • Indestructibility: According to Yurusen, due to Takeru already being dead, he cannot be killed a second time. However, as Takeru soon finds out, he can still feel pain as he experiences when he is attacked by the Gamma or feels a force of impact such as a fall from a building. This makes Ghost not a truly unstoppable obstacle to the Gamma, as an overwhelming sensation of pain can cause him to pass out or temporarily be unable to counterattack.[Eyes Open! It's Me!]
  • Dreamland Transport: When wearing the dreamland wristband, Takeru was able to directly visit the dreamland, without having to sleep first. As a result, he was unaffected by the illusions, and could transform normally.
  • Emotion Synchronization: After gaining the power of Mugen Damashii, whenever Takeru synchronizes with an emotion resonating strongly within an individual or a group of individuals, his body will glow in a certain color, indicating that he has gained the ability to utilize a weapon attack in Mugen Damashii based on that particular emotion i.e. attacks like Yorokobi Stream, etc.

Abilities

  • Expert Martial Artist: Takeru is an expert hand-to-hand combatant and martial artist, having been trained from childhood by his father Ryu Tenkuji in order to become a ghost hunter. His combat skills gradually improved and enhanced as he fought against numerous Gammas as Kamen Rider Ghost throughout the series. Even without transformed, he has proven to be a highly skilled expert martial artist. In Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Ghost & Drive: Super Movie Wars Genesis, Takeru was able to effectively fight against numerous Gamma Commando with ease. In Kamen Rider Heisei Generations: Dr. Pac-Man vs. Ex-Aid & Ghost with Legend Riders, Takeru was able to effectively fight against numerous Minor Bugsters with ease, even hold his own against Ageha Takeda, a bugster and a master hand-to-hand combatant and martial artist in her own right, though she was able to bring him down in the end.
  • Skilled Swordsman: To be added

Kamen Rider Ghost

Ghost's forms are called Damashii (ダマシイ, Damashī, lit. "Souls"), accessed using the Ghost Eyecons. He also bears a headpiece called the Persona (ペルソナ, Perusona, Latin for "Mask"), which gives off a glow effect with the rest of his body. The Persona changes with Ghost's numerous Damashii forms, as well as serving as a prefix title for all of the Damashii forms' helms.

Differentiating himself from Kamen Rider Specter, Ghost normally bears a singular Wisp Horn (ウィスプホーン, Wisupu Hōn) on his head in most of his Damashii forms, allowing him to use it either for perceiving and sensing Gamma within a 5 km radius or as a weapon. When transforming into Toucon Boost Damashii, the Wisp Horn is upgraded into the Flame Wisp Horn (フレイムウィスプホーン, Fureimu Wisupu Hōn). While having the same detection range of the original Wisp Horn, the Flame Wisp Horn has more piercing power. When transforming into Grateful Damashii, the Wisp Horn is upgraded into the Goldy Wisp Horn (ゴルディウィスプホーン, Gorudi Wisupu Hōn). Unlike its counterparts, while it doesn't appear to have an apparent range of effects in terms of Gamma sensing, it does allow perfect communion with the Parka Ghosts Ghost summons through the Eyecon Driver G for attack flow and finishers. When transforming into Mugen Damashii, the Wisp Horn is upgraded into the Prism Wisp Horn (プリズムウィスプホーン, Purizomu Wisupu Hōn). Unlike its original counterpart, it doesn't appear to have an apparent range of effort in terms of Gamma sensing, it does allow a perfect connection with the user's emotions for the attack flow and finisher.

By pulling and pushing the Ghost Driver's lever a second time after transforming, Ghost can activate an Omega Drive (オメガドライブ, Omega Doraibu) finishing attack tied to the Ghost Eyecon currently being used. If he pulls and pushes the lever four times, he can instead execute an Oomedama (オオメダマ, Ōmedama, lit. "Giant eyeball" (大目玉)) special attack.

When Ghost transforms into standard versions of his post-Boost forms (Goemon, Ryoma, Himiko), he bears a singular Flame Wisp Horn (フレイムウィスプホーン, Fureimu Wisupu Hōn) on his head.

KRGh-Ghost Transient

Transient

Transient (トランジェント, Toranjento) is the default pre-form armor of Kamen Rider Ghost.[1] Like most pre-forms in the Kamen Rider Series, it is weaker than all of the other forms and exists solely as a transition stage of the armor to any given Damashii form.

It is composed of Quantum Solid (クァンタムソリッド, Kwantamu Soriddo) and is covered with orange Energy Vessels (エナジーベッセル, Enajī Besseru) that emits light when dealing deathblows.

Transient is composed of the following parts:

  • Flange Crystal (フランジクリスタル, Furanji Kurisutaru): Small, shield generating devices located on the ear areas. It encases and wraps the entire user's body with an energy shield, raising Ghost's defense. It has a built-in auditory sensor that allows Ghost to accurately capture and hear faint sounds.
  • Atmos Ducter (アトモスダクター, Atomosu Dakutā): Small air intake vents located around the sides of the mouth and on the chin area. It captures surrounding air currents and wind force to cool down internal devices. Additionally, it captures any heat from the surrounding environment to reuse as energy.
  • Invisible Suit (インビジブルスーツ, Inbijiburu Sūtsu): The bodysuit. It is made out of the quasi-metal Quantum Solid (クァンタムソリッド, Kwantamu Soriddo), a special substance that can change its state and properties freely by applying energy, resulting in a suit that is flexible and easy to move, but can harden to protect the user from damage. Additionally, the orange Energy Vessels (エナジーベッセル, Enajī Besseru) located all over glow when energy flows through them, usually during transformation or when a special attack is being prepared.
  • Breast Crest (ブレストクレスト, Buresuto Kuresuto): A symbol engraved on Kamen Rider Ghost's chest. It converts willpower into energy via mysterious means; the stronger the willpower, the more energy is made.
  • Armor Invisible (アーマーインビジブル, Āmā Inbijiburu): Transparent armor pieces that cover the chest, shoulders, arms and legs. they defy the laws of physics and mass, allowing the user to become invisible, pass through matter and float in the air.
  • Reviver Arm (リヴァイヴァーアーム, Rivaivā Āmu): The arms. They have multiple armor layers to increase defense and arm strength. They're made of Quantum Solid, and their attack and defensive power change according to the Eyecon inserted into the Ghost Driver.
  • Fatal Gloves (フェイタルグローブ, Feitaru Gurōbu): The reinforced gloves. They allow Kamen Rider Ghost to touch and come into contact with invisible beings (such as Ganma). Energy developed on the Fatal Gloves' surface can be inserted into an enemy via a punch, destroying their internal functions.
  • Shade Smashers (シェイドスマッシャー, Sheido Sumasshā): The knee armor. Their structure absorbs impacts damage caused by drops or collisions. It can also speed up leg movement.
  • Reviver Leg (リヴァイヴァーレッグ, Rivaivā Reggu): The legs. They have multiple armor layers to increase defense and leg strength. They're made of Quantum Solid, and their attack and defensive power change according to the Eyecon inserted into the Ghost Driver.
  • Force Shackles (フォースシャックル, Fōsu Shakkuru): The silver power amplification rings located on the wrists and ankles. They control the power of each limb by using a large amount of energy stored inside of them. When a special attack is initiated, the Force Shackles cover the hands and feet with an energy aura to increase the destructive power of the technique.
  • Mortal Boots (モータルブーツ, Mōtaru Būtsu): The armored boots. They create high-speed footwork and control Ghost's posture when floating. Additionally, energy developed on the Mortal Boots' surface can be inserted into an enemy via a kick, destroying their internal functions.

Ore Damashii (オレダマシイ, Ore Damashī, lit. "My Soul") is Ghost's default orange form. Accessed through the Ore Ghost Eyecon, this form bears the (quickly discarded) Effector Hood (エフェクターフード, Efekutā Fūdo), the Persona Pantheon (ペルソナパンテオン, Perusona Panteon) helmet with the Face Pantheon (フェイスパンテオン, Feisu Panteon) faceplate.

After his revival back as a human, it is unknown how he is able to still transform into Ore Damashii, since the Eyecon bonded with his soul when he was a ghost.

Ore Damashii adds the following parts:

  • Persona Pantheon (ペルソナパンテオン, Perusona Panteon): The helmet.
    • Wisp Horn (ウィスプホーン, Wisupu Hōn): The horn. It detects Gammas and enemies lurking within a 5km radius, and alerts the user. Due to its structural strength, it can also be used as a headbutting weapon.
    • Soul Ornament (ソウルオーナメント, Souru Ōnamento): An energy regulator located at the base of the Wisp Horn. It checks the condition of the user's body, manages energy flow, and shifts each system to prepare for combat according to information gathered by the Wisp Horn.
    • Various Visor (ヴァリアスバイザー, Variasu Baizā): The visual sensor and face shield. The thick clear parts cover the entire face, and has excellent impact resistance qualities, preventing almost all physical attacks. Benkei Damashii (ベンケイダマシイ, Benkei Damashī, lit. "Benkei Soul") is Ghost's white warrior monk-based form themed after Benkei, a giant of a sōhei who became infamous for positioning himself at a bridge and collected the swords of passing swordsmen, collecting 999 blades before being finally defeated by Minamoto no Yoshitsune, and loyally followed him through the Gunpei War and their time as outlaws following Yoshitsune's brother Yoritomo's treachery. Benkei died during the Battle of Komoro River, though in doing so cemented his place in history by killing an estimated 300 men of the 500 sent to kill them and died standing. Accessed through the Benkei Ghost Eyecon, this form bears the Persona Warrior Monk (ペルソナウォリアーモンク, Perusona Woriā Monku) helmet with the Face Seven Arms (フェイスセブンアームズ, Feisu Sebun Āmuzu) faceplate.

While assuming Benkei Damashii, Ghost dons the Soshu Hood (ソウシュウフード, Sōshū Hūdo) adorned with the Plating of Loyalty (チュウギノトキン, Chūgi no Tokin) where he is able to combine the Kumo Lantern Ghost Gadget with his Gan Gun Saber to create its Hammer Mode.

Benkei Damashii adds the following parts:

  • Persona Warrior Monk (ペルソナウォリアーモンク, Perusona Woriā Monku) - The hooded helmet.
    • Wisp Horn (ウィスプホーン, Wisupu Hōn) - The single horn sticking from the forehead. It detects Gammas and enemies lurking within a 5km radius, and alerts the user. Due to its structural strength, it can also be used as a headbutting weapon.
    • Soul Ornament (ソウルオーナメント, Souru Ōnamento) - An energy adjustment device located at the base of the Wisp Horn. It checks the condition of the user's body, manages energy flow, and shifts each system into a battle posture according to information gathered by the Wisp Horn.
    • Various Visor (ヴァリアスバイザー, Variasu Baizā) - The visual sensor/face shield. The thick clear parts cover the entire face, and has excellent impact resistance qualities, preventing almost all physical attacks. Additionally, the visor is filled with a fluid vision sensor, allowing Ghost to see surrounding situations by utilising the entire Various Visor as a giant eye.
    • Face Seven Arms (フェイスセブンアームズ, Feisu Sebun Āmuzu) - The pattern on the Various Visor. The Various Visor's fluid vision sensor changes color under the influence of the inserted Ore Eyecon, forming the current weapon pattern based on Benkei's seven weapons.
    • Plating of Loyalty (チュウギノトキン, Chūgi no Tokin) - The small silver hat attached to the top of the hood. It can cover nearby allies with a special field and transfer any damage taken by that ally onto the user; in other words, any damage taken by Ghost's allies are transferred to Ghost himself. (The Plating of Loyalty is a reference to Benkei's reputation as an extremely loyal person. It’s also based on the tokin (頭襟), small metal hats, worn by mountain ascetics (which Benkei was once was before becoming a warrior monk).)
    • Soshu Hood (ソウシュウフード, Sōshū Hūdo) - The hood. It strengthens the user's sense of perseverance with a special wave, causing them to stand their ground in a difficult situation. (Translation note: 'Soshu' (僧衆) literally translates to 'a large number of priests'.)
  • Suzukake Coat (スズカケコート, Suzukake Kōto) - The main parka. It has a structure that focuses on durability, and can absorb impact damage, converting it into energy. As energy absorbed from impacts are used to strengthen the surface, defensive power is raised as damage is received. (A suzukake (篠懸) is a white ritual garment worn by mountain ascetics.)
  • Mighty Nenju (マイティネンジュ, Maiti Nenju) - The bronze beads located on the shoulder areas. Highly compressed energy is stored on each bead. Energy from each bead is distributed to each body part, temporarily increasing their power. When all of the energy within the beads is distributed, Ghost's attack power is doubled. ('Nenju' (念珠) are prayer rosary beads used by Buddhist monks.)

This form has two finishers.

  • Gan Gun Saber Finisher:
    • Omega Bomber (オメガボンバー, Omega Bonbā): In Hammer Mode, Ghost charges energy to the Kumo Lantern, then slams the weapon on the ground, generating energy constructs shaped like the weapons found on the Face Seven Arms faceplate, which are then flung at the opponent. Omega Bomber can also be used as an earthquake attack after Ghost slams the weapon on the ground.
  • Ghost Driver + Gan Gun Saber Finisher
    • Omega Drive/Bomber (Benkei) (オメガドライブ/ボンバー ベンケイ, Omega Doraibu/Bonbā (Benkei)): Using the Gan Gun Saber in Hammer Mode, Ghost spins the hammer around at great speed, creating a gust of wind which lifts himself into the air. He then drops down on the target with the hammer enlarging into a massive energy construct which smashes the target.

KRGh-Ghost Toucon Boost Damashii Transient

Transient

Transient (トランジェント, Toranjento) is the default pre-form armor of Kamen Rider Ghost. Like most pre-forms in the Kamen Rider Series, it’s weaker than all of the other forms and exists solely as a transition stage of the armor to any given Damashii form.

While transforming into Toucon Boost Damashii, Ghost's Transient form upgrades into a red color with black fiery details on it, and the emblem on his chest becomes embossed in silver. This Transient form remains as it is when assuming a Ghost Change from Toucon Boost Damashii.

Toucon Damashii's Transient is made from Quantum Solid (クァンタムソリッド, Kwantamu Soriddo), but due to the immense thermal energy developed by Toucon Damashii, it has been discolored red.

Transient is composed of the following parts:

  • Fighting Reflector (ファイティングリフレクター, Faitingu Rifurekutā) - The overall helmet/head armor. It is extremely streamlined, allowing Ghost to receive physical attacks without much issue. Its surface is coated with special particles, allowing Ghost to receive energy attacks without much issue.
  • Flange Red Crystal (フランジレッドクリスタル, Furanji Reddo Kurisutaru) - Small, shield generating devices located on the ear areas. They encase and wrap the entire user's body with a shield made of heat energy, raising Ghost's defense. They have a built-in auditory sensor that allows Ghost to accurately capture and hear faint sounds.
  • Athmos Ducter (アトモスダクター, Atomosu Dakutā) - Small air intake vents located around the sides of the mouth and on the chin area. They capture surrounding air currents and wind force to cool down internal devices. Additionally, They capture any heat from the surrounding environment to reuse as energy.
  • Conflict Suit (コンフリクトスーツ, Konfurikuto Sūtsu) - The bodysuit. It is made out of the quasi-metal Quantum Solid (クァンタムソリッド Kwantamu Soriddo), a special substance that can change its state and properties freely by applying energy, resulting in a suit that is flexible and easy to move, but can harden to protect the user from damage. Due to excess thermal energy, the Quantum Solid has become discolored, resulting in its crimson appearance.
  • Blaze Vessels (ブレイズベッセル, Bureizu Besseru) - The black flame patterns located all over the Transient. When deathblows are initiated, heat energy is emitted on the surface, covering Kamen Rider Ghost in a super hot flame.
  • Breast Crest (ブレストクレスト, Buresuto Kuresuto) - A symbol engraved on Kamen Rider Ghost's chest. It converts willpower into energy via mysterious means; the stronger the willpower, the more energy is made.
  • Armor Conflict (アーマーコンフリクト, Āmā Konfurikuto) - Crimson armor pieces that cover the chest, shoulders, arms and legs. They defy the laws of physics and mass, allowing the user to become invisible, pass through matter and float in the air. They are made of Quantum Solid, but has been discolored due to excess thermal energy.
  • Fierce Battle Arms (フィアスバトルアーム, Fiasu Batoru Āmu) - The arms. They have multiple armor layers to increase defense and arm strength. They're made of Quantum Solid, and their attack and defensive power change according to the Eyecon inserted into the Ghost Driver.
  • Fatal Red Gloves (フェイタルレッドグローブ, Feitaru Reddo Gurōbu) - The reinforced hands. They allows Kamen Rider Ghost to touch and come into contact with invisible beings (such as Ganmas). intense heat energy developed on the Fatal Red Gloves' surface can be inserted into an enemy via a punch, melting and obliterating their internal functions.
  • Shade Smashers (シェイドスマッシャー, Sheido Sumasshā) - The knee armor. Their structure absorb impact damage caused by drops or collisions. They can also speed up leg movement.
  • Fierce Battle Legs (フィアスバトルレッグ, Fiasu Batoru Reggu) - The legs. They have multiple armor layers to increase defense and leg strength. They're made of Quantum Solid, and their attack and defensive power change according to the Eyecon inserted into the Ghost Driver.
  • Force Shackles (フォースシャックル, Fōsu Shakkuru) - The silver power amplification rings located on the wrists and ankles. They control the power of each limb by using a large amount of energy stored inside of them. When a special attack is initiated, the Force Shackles cover the hands and feet with an energy aura to increase the destructive power of the technique.
  • Mortal Red Boots (モータルレッドブーツ, Mōtaru Reddo Būtsu) - The armored feet. They create high-speed footwork and control Ghost's posture when floating. Additionally, intense heat energy developed on the Mortal Red Boots' surface can be inserted into an enemy via a kick, melting and obliterating their internal functions.

It controls the balance of the upper body and optimzses attack behavior. (Note: The Battleship Shoulders reference the warship fleet sent by the U.S.A. to convince/force Japan to open up their trade ports to allow commerce and allow freedom of movement into/out of the country. As the warships outclassed any Japanese technology of that era, Japan obliged when under the threat of total annihilation of Edo (modern day Tokyo).)

Additionally, the visor is filled with a fluid vision sensor, allowing Ghost to see surrounding situations by utilising the entire Various Visor as a giant eye.
    • Face Magatama (フェイスマガタマ, Feisu Magatama) - The pattern on the Various Visor. The Various Visor's fluid vision sensor changes color under the influence of the inserted Himiko Eyecon, forming the current magatama pattern.
    • Head Diadem (ヘッドホウカン, Heddo Houkan) - The golden crown on top of the head. It emits a mysterious light that can compress and purify surrounding evil forces.
    • Kidou Hood (キドウフード, Kidou Fūdo) - The hood. It can create a mysterious field that can absorb evil spirits, contain enemies and make opponents inoperable. (Translation note: 'Kidou' (軌道) can mean 'proper course' or 'the right track'.)
  • Yamatai Coat (ヤマタイコート, Yamatai Kōto) - The main parka. It has a peach-like color that is said to deflect evil power, deflect energy attacks via special particles, control surrounding thermal energy, and launch purification flame (浄化の炎, jōka no honō) attacks.
  • Prophecy Shoulders (プロフェシーショルダー, Purofeshī Shorudā) - The golden shoulder armor. It amplifies the mysterious energies produced by the Himiko Eyecon, allowing Ghost to predict enemy attacks and sudden phenomena.(Essentially giving him foresight)

This form's finisher is the Omega Drive (Himiko) (オメガドライブ ヒミコ, Omega Doraibu (Himiko)): Ghost creates a powerful pink tornado sweeping the enemy off its feet and then slashes the enemy with the Sunglasseslasher.

KRGh-Ghost Grateful Damashii Transient

Transient Version 1

KRGh-Ghost Grateful Damashii Transient (Version 2)

Transient Version 2

Transient (トランジェント, Toranjento) is the default pre-form armor of Kamen Rider Ghost. Like most pre-forms in the Kamen Rider Series, it is weaker than all of the other forms and exists solely as a transition stage of the armor to any given Damashii form.

While transforming into Grateful Damashii, Ghost's Transient form upgrades into a blacked armored form with gold accents on it. This Transient form is only briefly seen during the transformation before all the Parka Ghosts fuse onto it.

Transient is composed of the following parts:

  • Grandeur Reflector (グランドールリフレクター, Gurandōru Rifurekutā) - The overall helmet/head armor. It can deploy an extremely streamlined shield, allowing Ghost to receive physical attacks without much issue. Its surface is coated with golden particles, allowing Ghost to receive energy attacks without much issue.
  • Athmos Ducter (アトモスダクター, Atomosu Dakutā) - Small air intake vents located around the sides of the mouth and on the chin area. It captures surrounding air currents and wind force to cool down internal devices. Additionally, it captures any heat from the surrounding environment to reuse as energy.
  • Thankful Hood (サンクフルフード, Sankufuru Fūdo) - The collar armor. It can cover the whole body with a special golden field which can absorb and neutralise enemy attacks. It can disorient enemies by projecting afterimages.
  • Sublime Suit (サブライムスーツ, Saburaimu Sūtsu) - The bodysuit. It is made of a solid metal alloy called Quantum Solid, whose properties can change by applying energy. The Sublime Suit is extremely flexible, but it will harden at areas about to get hit, reducing damage by half.
  • Halo Vessels (ヘイローベッセル, Heirō Besseru) - The golden lines running over the body. They are energy supply lines that supply the body with high-purity energy generated by the Ghost Driver. When deathblows are initiated, they will glow golden, releasing special particles dubbed Ray Glister (レイグリスター, Rei Gurisutā), enabling an attack which can decompose an opponent.
  • Fatal Knocked Gloves (フェイタルノクトグローブ, Feitaru Nokuto Gurōbu) - The hands. With them, it is possible to touch apparitions unseen to the human eye (such as Gammas). Also, by wrapping the fists with Ray Glister light particles, enemies can be destroyed without leaving any visible traces.
  • Goldy Shackles (ゴルディシャックル, Gorudi Shakkuru) - The golden power amplifying rings attached to the wrists and ankles. Large amounts of energy are stored within these shackles, allowing Ghost to adjust the power balance between each limb. When initiating a deathblow technique, the Goldy Shackles wrap the hands/feet with an intense aura, dramatically improving the deathblow’s speed.
  • Mortal Knocked Boots (モータルノクトブーツ, Mōtaru Nokuto Būtsu) - The feet. With them, it is possible to run at high speeds, as well as to maintain posture when floating. Also, by wrapping them Ray Glister light particles, enemies can be destroyed without leaving any visible traces.

Grateful Damashii (グレイトフルダマシイ, Gureitofuru Damashī, lit. "Grateful Soul") is Ghost's super form, accessed via the Eyecon Driver G, which provides its own Transient suit for Ghost. Upon completion of the body's transformation, the Persona Grandeur (ペルソナグランドール, Perusona Gurandōru) with the Face Grandeur (フェイスグランドール, Feisu Gurandōru) soon manifests afterwards.

Grateful Damashii's special ability allows Ghost to summon any of the 15 Parka Ghosts with their respective weapons during their time as part of a Damashii form to help him in battle by using the Eyecon Driver G.

As shown in Episode 40, Takeru can switch from his Eyecon Driver G back to his Ghost Driver for different form changes while still transformed as Grateful Damashii (in this episode's case, Mugen Damashii).

This form has two drawbacks: 1. The activations of the Gammaizers. As shown in Episode 28, whenever a Gammaizer is activated, Takeru will get shocked by the power of the remaining 14 monoliths, causing his body to freeze and be unable to move for some time, even if he is knocked out of his transformation. This is because the Eyecon Driver G was originally created with the intention for the Gamma Emperor to link to the powers of the Gammaizers as stated in Episode 26.

However, it is currently unknown how Takeru was still able to fight properly against Gammaizer Fire and Gammaizer Magnetic Blade in this form without affecting his body in Episodes 30 and 40 respectively.

2. The assistance of the Eyecons. As shown in Episode 34, whenever a Heroic Eyecon doesn't want to cooperate with Takeru (in this episode's case, Grimm), that hero's emblem will disappear, causing this form to malfunction and letting the enemy have a chance to strike Takeru, knocking him out of his transformation. This is because Grateful Damashii needs all 15 heroes to work together as a team in order to use this form properly, similar to Cosmicstates from Kamen Rider Fourze.

Grateful Damashii, when complete, adds the following parts to the Transient:

  • Persona Grandeur (ペルソナグランドール, Perusona Gurandōru) - The helmet.
    • Goldy Wisp Horn (ゴルディウィスプホーン, Gorudi Wisupu Hōn) - The single golden horn sticking from the forehead. It detects Gammas and enemies lurking nearby, and alerts the user. It has a synchronisation function which allows Ghost to fight alongside a summoned hero in coordinated synchronised attacks.
    • Soul Ornament (ソウルオーナメント, Souru Ōnamento) - An energy adjustment device located at the base of the Goldy Wisp Horn. It checks the condition of the user's body and manages energy flow. It shifts each system into a battle posture according to information gathered by the Goldy Wisp Horn.
    • Face Grandeur (フェイスグランドール, Feisu Gurandōru) - The pattern on the Various Visor. The Various Visor's fluid vision sensor changes color under the influence of the various souls within the Eyecon Driver G, forming the current black and orange mask-like pattern.
    • Flange Gold Crystal (フランジゴルトクリスタル, Furanji Goruto Kurisutaru) - Shield generating devices located on the ear areas. It encases and wraps the entire user's body with a high-purity energy shield, greatly raising Ghost's defense. It has a built-in auditory sensor that allows Ghost to accurately capture and hear faint sounds. Unlike other Flange Crystals that usually manifest themselves on Transients, the Flange Gold Crystal manifests itself onto the helmet once transformation is complete.
    • Wise Linkers (ワイズリンカー, Waizu Rinkā) - The horns on the sides of the Persona Grandeur. It is a sensory enhancement device that influences the wearer's senses and mental power to increase concentration and thinking porcesses during combat. The Wise Linkers appear to be a combination of different horns and decorations found on the various Parka Ghosts.
  • Armor Sublime (アーマーサブライム, Āmā Saburaimu) - Black and gold armor parts scattered throughout Transient. During transformation, the 15 Heroic Spirits possess parts of the Armor Sublime to complete transformation. It is made of Quantum Solid (クァンタムソリッド, Kwantamu Soriddo) quasi-metal alloy. By concentrating power to specific parts, the power of a hero can be drawn out (similar to Ghost's forms), allowing various abilities to be activated. It defies the laws of physics and mass, allowing the user to become invisible, pass through matter and float in the air.
    • MusaShell Breast (ムサシェルブレスト, Musasheru Buresuto) - The chestplate. The soul of Miyamoto Musashi resides in here. By concentrating energy, the power of Musashi Damashii can be drawn out, allowing Ghost to activate slashing techniques and increase the accuracy of attack avoidance patterns. Encourages Ghost to persevere.
    • EdiSonic Shoulder (エジソニックショルダー, Ejisonikku Shorudā) - The right shoulder armor. The soul of Thomas Edison resides in here. By concentrating energy, the power of Edison Damashii can be drawn out, allowing Ghost to unleash electrical attacks, as well as the ability to absorb electricity.
    • Robin Greave (ロビングリーブ, Robin Gurību) - The right shin armor. The soul of Robin Hood resides in here. By concentrating energy, the power of Robin Damashii can be drawn out, allowing Ghost to intiate more accurate shooting techniques.
    • Newtonic Shoulder (ニュートニックショルダー, Nyūtonikku Shorudā) - The left shoulder armor. The soul of Isaac Newton resides in here. By concentrating energy, the power of Newton Damashii can be drawn out, allowing Ghost to generate force fields (フォースフィールド, fōsu fīrudo), control gravity and manipulate attractive/repulsive forces.
    • Billy Guard (ビリーガード, Birī Gādo) - The upper left forearm armor. The soul of Henry McCarty resides in here. By concentrating energy, the power of Billy the Kid Damashii can be drawn out, allowing Ghost to initiate high-speed shooting attacks with increased accuracy.
    • BeethoBracer (ベートブレイサー, Bētobureisā) - The lower left forearm armor. The soul of Ludwig van Beethoven resides in here. By concentrating energy, the power of Beethoven Damashii can be drawn out, allowing Ghost to release special energy vibrations (in the form of music) that can break down various substances.
    • BenkePlate (ベンケプレート, Benkepurēto) - The left waist armor. The soul of Musashibō Benkei resides in here. By concentrating energy, the power of Benkei Damashii can be drawn out, allowing Ghost to activate abilities that dramatically increase attack and defensive power.
    • Goemon Tecter (ゴエモンテクター, Goemon Tekutā) - The right kneepad. The soul of Ishikawa Goemon resides in here. By concentrating energy, the power of Goemon Damashii can be drawn out, allowing Ghost to move at high speeds by strengthening his motor functions.
    • Ryoma Greave (リョウマグリーブ, Ryōma Gurību) - The left shin armor. The soul of Sakamoto Ryōma resides in here. By concentrating energy, the power of Ryoma Damashii can be drawn out, allowing Ghost to neutralise harmful attacks by enemies.
    • Himiko Tecter (ヒミコテクター, Himiko Tekutā) - The left kneepad. The soul of Himiko resides in here. By concentrating energy, the power of Himiko Damashii can be drawn out, allowing Ghost to utilise mysterious powers and purifying fire attacks.
    • TutanBracer (ツタンブレイサー, Tsutanbureisā) - The lower right forearm armor. The soul of Tutankhamun resides in here. By concentrating energy, the power of Tutankhamun Damashii can be drawn out, allowing Ghost to seal enemies within distortions in space-time.
    • NobunaGuard (ノブナガード, Nobunagādo) - The upper right forearm armor. The soul of Oda Nobunaga resides in here. By concentrating energy, the power of Nobunaga Damashii can be drawn out, allowing Ghost to generate a large array of shooting weapons to attack the enemy with an overwhelming barrage attack.
    • HoudiPlate (フーディプレート, Fūdipurēto) - The right waist armor. The soul of Harry Houdini resides in here. By concentrating energy, the power of Houdini Damashii can be drawn out, allowing Ghost to fly at high speeds and develop special Tightened Chains (タイトゥンチェーン, Taitun Chēn) which can be used to capture enemies.
    • Grimm Legger (グリムレッガー, Gurimu Reggā) - The left side shin armor. The souls of Jacob Grimm and Wilhelm Grimm reside in here. By concentrating energy, the power of Grimm Damashii can be drawn out, allowing Ghost to collect and analyse information via a sharp metal object.
    • SanzoLegger (サンゾレッガー, Sanzoreggā) - The right side shin armor. The soul of Xuanzang reside in here. By concentrating energy, the power of Sanzo Damashii can be drawn out, allowing Ghost to summon Wukong, Bajie and Wujing as allies in combat.

This form has three known finishers:

  • The first is a basic Grateful Omega Drive (グレイトフル オメガドライブ, Gureitofuru Omega Doraibu) finisher which can be performed when Ghost summons the Ghosts of the 15 Heroic Eyecons and they all appear behind the Ghost symbol before combining into a powerful fire ball for Ghost to use to defeat the enemy with a flying kick. It can also be used as a flying kick that uses spiritual energy which makes the body and mask of Ghost's form glow and envelops him in a gold flame. It can also be used as a slash attack with the Gan Gun Saber in Blade Mode and the Sunglasseslasher in Sword Mode.
  • The second is known as the Omega Formation (オメガフォーメーション, Omega Fōmēshon), which can be performed by summoning any one of the 15 Parka Ghosts.
    • Omega Formation (Robin and Goemon): Ghost performs a shooting attack, alongside the Robin Parka Ghost, with the Gan Gun Saber in Arrow Mode and a slash attack, alongside the Goemon Parka Ghost, with the Sunglasseslasher in Sword Mode.
    • Omega Formation (Ryoma and Himiko): Ghost performs a slash attack with the Gan Gun Saber in Blade Mode and the Sunglasseslasher in Sword Mode, the Himiko Parka Ghost performs a slash attack with the Gan Gun Saber in Naginata Mode and the Ryoma Parka Ghost performs a shooting attack with the Sunglasseslasher in Blaster Mode.

KRGh-Ghost Mugen Damashii Transient

Transient

Transient (トランジェント, Toranjento) is the default pre-form armor of Kamen Rider Ghost. Like most pre-forms in the Kamen Rider Series, it is weaker than all of the other forms and exists solely as a transition stage of the armor to any given Damashii form. It is made up of a substance called Quantum Gazer (クァンタムゲイザー, Kuantamu Geizā), which through an unknown process turns emotion into power.

While transforming into Mugen Damashii, Ghost's Transient form upgrades into an angelic whiteed armored form, gaining additional vest-like armor around the upper-torso section, with infinity symbol and metal flake accents on it. This Transient form is only briefly seen during the transformation before the Mugen Parka Ghost fuses onto it.

Transient is composed of the following parts:

  • Eternity Reflector (エタニティリフレクター, Etaniti Rifurekutā) - The overall helmet/head armor. It can develop a defensive field made of Quantum Gazer (クァンタムゲイザー, Kuantamu Geizā) metal particles to weaken and neutralize any attack. It can also form a defensive shield around allies and protect them against enemy attacks while receiving emotional energy.
  • Flange Ever Crystal (フランジエヴァークリスタル, Furanji Evā Kurisutaru) - Shield generating devices located on the ear areas. They encase and wrap the entire user's body with a high-purity energy shield, greatly raising Ghost's defense and have a built-in auditory sensor that allows Ghost to accurately capture and hear faint sounds.
  • Exist Suit (イグジストスーツ, Igujisuto Sūtsu) - The bodysuit. It is made out of a self-evolutionary mircro-metal body called Quantum Gazer, a special substance that can evolve and develop itself by applying emotional energy, resulting in unexpected abilities that manifest as the Exist Suit evolves. Additionally, it is flexible and easy to move, but can harden to protect the user from damage.
  • Breast Crest (ブレストクレスト, Buresuto Kuresuto) - A symbol engraved on Kamen Rider Ghost's chest. It converts willpower into energy via mysterious means; the stronger the willpower, the more energy is made.
  • Armor Exist (アーマーイグジスト, Āmā Igujisuto) - Transparent armor pieces that cover the chest, shoulders, arms and legs. They are made of a special metal called Quantum Gazer alloy. They defy the laws of physics and mass, allowing the user to become invisible, pass through matter and float in the air. Unless the wearer loses their heart as a person, the Armor Exist cannot be destroyed.
  • Endless Vessel (エンドレスベッセル, Endoresu Besseru) - The numerous infinity symbols that are locate all over the Transient. They amplify and circulate the high-purity energy generated by the Ghost Driver infinitely, and emit light when deathblows are initiated. When deathblows are initiated, they glow and emit Ray Glancer (レイグランサー, Rei Guransā), special particles which can decompose and extinguish targets.
  • Resolution Arm (レゾリューションアーム, Rezoryūshon Āmu) - The arms. They have multiple armor layers to increase defense and arm strength beyond human limits, making it impossible for live ammunition to penetrate them. Due to them being made of Quantum Gazer alloy, their strength and defense increase according to the wearer's emotional energy.
  • Fatal Gain Gloves (フェイタルゲイングローブ, Feitaru Gein Gurōbu) - The reinforced hands. They allow Kamen Rider Ghost to touch and come into contact with invisible beings (such as Ganmas). Ray Glancer particles can be wrapped around the Fatal Gain Gloves' surface to be inserted into enemies via a punch, destroying their internal functions.
  • Radiance Smashers (レディアンスマッシャー, Rediansumasshā) - The knee armor.Their structure fully absorb impact damage caused by drops or collisions. They can also speed up leg movement. The destructive power is tremendous, and any enemy that has been knee-kicked will be destroyed immediately.
  • Resolution Leg (レゾリューションレッグ, Rezoryūshon Reggu) - The legs. They have multiple armor layers to increase defense and leg strength beyond human limits, making it impossible for live ammunition to penetrate them. Due to them being made of Quantum Gazer alloy, their strength and defense increase according to the wearer's emotional energy.
  • Photon Shackles (フォトンシャックル, Foton Shakkuru) - The black power amplification rings located on the wrists and ankles. They control the power of each limb by using a large amount of energy stored inside of them. When a special attack is initiated, the Photon Shackles cover the hands and feet with a glowing energy aura to increase the destructive power of the technique.
  • Mortal Gain Boots (モータルゲインブーツ, Mōtaru Gein Būtsu) - The armored feet. They create high-speed footwork and control Ghost's posture when floating. Additionally, Ray Glancer particles can be wrapped around the Mortal Gain Boots' surface to be inserted into enemies via a kick, destroying their internal functions.

Mugen Damashii (ムゲンダマシイ, Mugen Damashii, lit."Infinity Soul") is Ghost's final form, accessed via the Mugen Ghost Eyecon. In this form, Ghost bears the Luster Hood (ラスターフード, Rasutā Fūdo), the Persona Evolve (ペルソナエヴォルブ, Perusona Evorubu) helmet and the Face Evolve (フェイスエヴォルブ, Feisu Evorubu) faceplate.

The Mugen Ghost Eyecon was created by the strong feelings of Takeru's seven friends: Makoto, Alain, Akari, Onari, Narita, Shibuya and Kanon. Thanks to this, he transforms into Kamen Rider Ghost Mugen Damashii. This form is the embodiment of his friends' emotions and has a multitude of emotion-based attacks. This is the only form of Ghost's that can permanently destroy the Ganmaizer.

This form has also demonstrated absurd defenses similar to Wizard's Infinity Style, easily tanking attacks from even the Ganmaizers.

Ghost Mugen Infinity

Mugen Damashii with Wings of Light

After being empowerd with the souls of the Heroic Eyecons and his friends, Mugen Damashii was granted the Wings of Light (光の羽, Hikari no Hane).[Kamen Rider Ghost: The 100 Eyecons and Ghost's Fateful Moment]

The Mugen Ghost Eyecon faded away in Episode 49 after the battle with the Great Eyezer. Ghost was seen using this form again in Heisei Generations though it is unknown how he was able to regain the Mugen Ghost Eyecon.

Mugen Damashii adds the following parts:

  • Persona Evolve (ペルソナエヴォルブ, Perusona Evorubu) - The helmet.
    • Prism Wisp Horn (プリズムウィスプホーン, Purizumu Wisupu Hōn) - The single horn sticking from the forehead. It detects Gammas and enemies, alerts the user, can generate an energy gate that can transport Ghost to his allies, allowing him to receive their emotional energy even if they are separated by a large distance.
    • Soul Ornament (ソウルオーナメント, Souru Ōnamento) - An energy adjustment device located at the base of the Prism Wisp Horn.
Additionally, the visor is filled with a fluid vision sensor, allowing Ghost to see surrounding situations by utilizing the entire Various Visor as a giant eye.
    • Face Evolve (フェイスエヴォルブ, Feisu Evorubu) - The pattern on the Various Visor. The Various Visor's fluid vision sensor changes color under the influence of the inserted Mugen Eyecon, forming the current black and orange mask-like pattern.
  • Luster Hood (ラスターフード, Rasutā Hūdo) - The hood. In addition to its ability to project afterimages and illusions to disorient enemies, the Luster Hood can generate a special aura that conveys the user's feelings to anyone within the aura, inspiring them. If a weak-willed enemy is within the aura, they can be forcibly converted to the user's side.
  • Brightness Coat (ブライトネスコート, Buraitonesu Kōto) - The main parka. The rugged and supple shape negate physical attacks, and special particles coated on the surface receive energy attacks. It also amplifies the power of each part of Ghost's body according to his current emotional strength, enhancing the user's fighting power.
  • Resurrect Shoulders (リザレクトショルダー, Rizarekuto Shorudā) - The shoulder units. They control the Quantum Gazer (クァンタムゲイザー, Kuantamu Geizā) alloy that Mugen Damashii is made of, and converts the body's energy into luminescent particles. They can repair, rebuild and restore bodies made of energy (like souls) back into their original state.

This Damashii has eight finishing attacks.

  • Ghost Driver Finisher:
    • God Omega Drive (Mugen) (ゴッドオメガドライブ ムゲン, Goddo Omega Doraibu (Mugen)): Ghost performs a Rider Kick imbued with the emotion power of his 7 friends that manifest together as rainbowed energy. In its first use, Ghost absorbs the attacks from a Gammaizer to cover his arm in rainbow energy to deliver a Rider Punch powerful enough to destroy it permanently.
  • Ghost Driver + Gan Gun Saber Finishers:
    • Yorokobi Stream (ヨロコビストリーム, Yorokobi Sutorīmu, lit. "Joy Stream"): Using the Gan Gun Saber in Naginata Mode, Ghost charges each weapon's bladed end with swirling yellow energy before he presses the trigger on its handle to rapidly slash the target with both blades in the form of an Infinity Symbol. An upgrade version of the Omega Stream.
    • Tanoshii Strike (タノシーストライク, Tanoshī Sutoraiku, lit. "Fun Strike"): Using the Gan Gun Saber in Arrow Mode, Ghost pulls on the energized "bowstring" of his weapon which makes an array appear to shield him from incoming attacks. Once charged, Ghost lets the energized orange arrow fly and pierce its target with great force in the form of an Infinity Symbol. An upgrade version of the Omega Strike.
    • Shinnen Impact (シンネンインパクト, Shinnen Inpakuto, lit. "Faith Impact"): Using the Gan Gun Saber in Rifle Mode, Ghost charges a green energy bullet as the Bat Clock winds its clock and projects an energy construct of a scope lens to lock on to the target. Once the clock hands point at the muzzle of the gun barrels and the energy is fully charged, the Rifle fires a powerful shotgun blast which destroys opponents. An upgrade version of the Omega Impact.
    • Isama Shoot (イサマシュート, Isama Shūto, lit. "Valiant Shoot"): Using the Gan Gun Saber in Gun Mode, Ghost charges energy into the muzzle of his weapon before unleashing a powerful purple shot. An upgrade version of the Omega Shoot.
    • Ikari Slash (イカリスラッシュ, Ikari Surasshu, lit. "Anger Slash"): Using the Gan Gun Saber in Nitouryu Mode, Ghost batters the opponent with his weapon's blades as they charge up red energy before he presses the trigger on its handle when he's in position to cut down the opponent to make the charge be expelled upon the last hit. An upgrade version of the Omega Slash.
    • Kanashimi Break (カナシミブレイク, Kanashimi Bureiku, lit. "Sadness Break"): Using the Gan Gun Saber in Blade Mode, Ghost charges the blade with swirling blue energy before he presses the trigger on its handle to cleave through the target. An upgrade version of the Omega Break.
    • Love Bomber (ラブボンバー, Rabu Bonbā): Using the Gan Gun Saber in Hammer Mode, Ghost charges white energy to the Kumo Lantern, then slams the weapon on the ground, generating energy constructs shaped like a Heart, which are then flung at the opponent. It is presumably to be the strongest emotional finisher out of them all, as it has enough power to destroy even the Great Eyezer's giant form. An upgrade version of the Omega Bomber.
  • Ghost Driver + Gan Gun Saber + Sunglasseslasher Finisher:
    • Ikari Slash/Shine (イカリスラッシュ/シャイン, Ikari Surasshu/Shain, lit. "Anger Slash/Shine"): Using the Gan Gun Saber in Blade Mode and the Sunglasseslasher in Sword Mode, Ghost batters the opponent with his weapons' blades as they charge up energy before he presses the trigger on its handle when he's in position to cut down the opponent to make the charge be expelled upon the last hit.
    • Isama Shoot/Flash (イサマシュート/フラッシュ, Isama Shūto/Furasshu, lit. "Valiant Shoot/Flash"): Using the Gan Gun Saber in Gun Mode and the Sunglasseslasher in Blaster Mode, Ghost charges energy into the muzzles of his weapons before unleashing a powerful pink shot with the Gan Gun Saber and a rainbow shot with the Sunglasseslasher traveling in tandem.

Transient

Transient (トランジェント, Toranjento) is the default pre-form armor of Kamen Rider Ghost. Like most pre-forms in the Kamen Rider Series, it’s weaker than all of the other forms and exists solely as a transition stage of the armor to any given Damashii form.

While transforming into Tousan Damashii, Ghost's Transient form upgrades into a red color with black fiery details on it, and the emblem on his chest becomes embossed in silver.

This form bears a great resemblance to Ghost's Grateful Damashii. Indeed, it combines the power of the Heisei Riders in a similar manner to Grateful Damashii's combination of the 15 heroes, as well as giving Ghost actual optics. However, the obvious difference is that Heisei Damashii is accessed through a simple Ghost Eyecon as opposed to the Grateful Damashii which is accessed through an Eyecon Driver, thus Ghost retains his original Ghost Driver in this form, as well as the undersuit and, while he wields the combined power of his 16 Heisei Riders predecessors, he lacks Grateful's power of summoning the Parka Ghosts to fight alongside him as bodies. However, he is able to channel the Riders' powers to enhance his fighting styles:

  • Kuuga + Double + Agito: Enhanced Hand-to-hand Combat.
  • Hibiki + Den-O + OOO + Gaim: Enhanced Swordsmanship
  • Drive + Faiz + Kabuto: Super-speed.
  • Decade + Blade + Ryuki: Creating energy projections of Decade, Blade and Ryuki's cards.
  • Wizard + Fourze + Kiva: Enhanced Jumping and Acrobatics.
This form is exclusive to Kamen Rider Ghost: Legendary! Riders' Souls! DVD.

Behind the Scenes

Portrayal

Takeru Tenkuji is portrayed by Shun Nishime (西銘 駿, Nishime Shun). As a child, Takeru is portrayed by Hinata Yamada (山田 日向, Yamada Hinata), who previously portrayed Sho Sakai in Kamen Rider Wizard.

As Kamen Rider Ghost, his suit actor is Seiji Takaiwa (高岩 成二, Takaiwa Seiji) who has been the suit actor for the majority of leading Heisei Kamen Riders (except Kuuga & Hibiki) while also appearing in flesh as Gyro. His suit actor in the final episode is Eitoku (永徳), who has been the suit actor for the majority of secondary Heisei Kamen Riders up to Baron while also serving as the suit actor of Kamen Rider Necrom.

Rider No.

As the leading rider protagonist of Kamen Rider Ghost, Ghost is labelled Kamen Rider #32 (仮面ライダー32号, Kamen Raidā Sanjūnigō) and Heisei Rider #17 (平成ライダー17号, Heisei Raidā Jūnanagō).

Notes

  • Takeru is the first protagonist whose given name is entirely in katakana script and not kanji, much like some Super Sentai characters throughout the franchise. This is later passed on to Sougo Tokiwa.
    • Incidentally, one of those characters was also named TakeruIcon-crosswiki, from Hikari Sentai MaskmanIcon-crosswiki. Ghost's Takeru also seems to emulate Red Mask's hand sign whenever Takeru is either about to unseal a Parka Ghost, exorcise Gamma Eyecons from their human hosts, or perform his Rider Kicks.
  • Takeru beats Kouta's record of how many times he appeared before the premiere of his own series (Gaim met Wizard in the last two episodes of his series, while Ghost met Drive in two episodes of his series and appeared in Drive's movie).
  • Takeru is the only main Heisei Rider to not turn evil.
    • Kuuga-Drive were turned to Shocker Riders.
      • Though Riders before Ghost may have been turned evil differently at a separate time.
    • Ex-Aid became possessed by Parado.
    • Build can get corrupted by using Hazard Trigger and later possessed by Evolto
    • Zi-O is destined to become Ohma Zi-O.
  • As the main story is about how to bring Takeru back to live, Ghost's form designs display a reverse of a Japanese funeral:
  • Takeru is tied with Eiji Hino to have their original actor reprising their role four times in Movie War films, though Nishime is the first to do so consecutively without breaks.
  • Takeru's surname is spelt with an additional "u" in official Toei listings.[26]
