History[]

World of Kabuto[]

In Kamen Rider Decade, when Tsukasa Kadoya arrives in the A.R. World, the World of Kabuto, he assumed the role of a ZECTrooper. He was deployed to aid Brightroopers in the containment of a Worm as Kamen Riders Gatack and TheBee managed to exterminate it with the unseen aid of Kabuto. [Warning: Kabuto Running Amok]

Personality[]

As mentioned below, they lack any concern for civilians.

Statistics
  • Height: 170~190 cm[1]
  • Weight: 70~90 kg[1]

ZECTroopers are foot soldiers of the organization ZECT. They are armed with the Machine Blade Gun, a weapon that draws some concepts from Riderman's Machine Gun Arm and Power Arm. The weapon is an automatic machine gun with a retractable blade, which they use for close-quarters combat. In addition, they also carry a grenade launcher-like shotgun as a last resort and means of retreating, along with flash bombs which disable Worms and seems to prevent them from molting. Like the Riotroopers from Kamen Rider 555, they're not actual Kamen Riders, instead they are acting as the cannon fodder for emergencies when a Rider cannot arrive in time. They are transported to the Worm hotspots via black, white, or silver HUMVEEs. Unfortunately, as seen in the first episode, they lack any concern for civilians. During episode 41, the AM bomb is revealed, forcing current Worms disguised as humans back into their original forms. By the finale, it is revealed that the majority of ZECTroopers were converted into Native Worms. However, after a speech by Tendo, they turn on Negishi and Mishima, aiding the Riders.

ZECTroopers consist of the following parts:

  • Face Helm (フェイスヘルム, Feisu Herumu)
    • Mechanical Antennae (メカニカルアンテナ, Mekanikaru Antena)
    • Pointer (ポインター, Pointā)
  • Body Armor (ボディアーマー, Bodi Āmā)
  • BDU (Battle Dress Uniform) (BDU(バトルドレスユニフォーム), Batoru Doresu Yunifōmu)
  • Elbow Protector (エルボープロテクター, Erubō Purotekutā)
  • Arm Guard (アームガード, Āmu Gādo)
  • Full Finger Glove (フルフィンガーグローブ, Furu Fingā Gurōbu)
  • Knee Protector (ニープロテクター, Nī Purotekutā)
  • Leg Guard (レッグガード, Reggu Gādo)

Variations[]

Shadow[]

Main article: Shadow

The special team known as Shadow (シャドー, Shadō) assists Kamen Rider TheBee. Unlike regular ZECTroopers, they have yellow pin stripes on their uniforms. Shadow is able to prevent the Worms from molting, enabling TheBee to kill them.

Brightroopers[]

Main article: Brightroopers

During a training mission, the ZECTrooper trainees, known as Brightroopers (ブライトトルーパー, Buraitotorūpā), are revealed. They wear white armor instead of the standard black.

Neotroopers[]

Main article: Neotroopers

Neotroopers (ネオトルーパー, Neotorūpā) are foot soldiers created by Neo-ZECT. They act as the cannon fodder for Neo-ZECT's assaults. The armor is silver with blue lines. The Neotroopers are armed with shield units and Machine Blade Guns which have seals on them.

Behind the Scenes[]

Portrayal[]

The ZECTroopers were voiced by Katsumi Shiono (塩野 勝美, Shiono Katsumi). Several suit actors portrayed the ZECTroopers including Hirofumi Fukuzawa (福沢 博文, Fukuzawa Hirofumi), Jiro Okamoto (岡元 次郎, Okamoto Jirō), and Miho Kojima (小島 美穂, Kojima Miho).

Notes[]

  • Not counting G3 Mild, which was never mass-produced, the ZECTroopers are the only Rider Troops that do not use a proper transformation device.
